Beautiful Lexie.

I took care of Lexie’s neighbors cat. I often saw Lexie in the hallways and I fell in love with her quickly. When her family asked for my help with dog walking I said yes without any hesitation. I took her out 5 days a week until the pandemic hit. Then we only saw each other on boardings - which always fell on her Birthday!

I also got to take her on a vacation with us to the Oregon coast for a week. We had a blast!

She was infectiously happy. She hated when you touched her feet, she always drank too much water, and she’d fight your vacuums and brooms… she was hilarious in that way, but she was also the best friend a dog could have. Human too. She was such a love.

At 6 years old you don’t expect to get the news that your dog is dying, but that happened to her owners last week. They thought they had a few weeks. We tried to schedule time to come see her one last time, but our sweet Lexie started to fade away quickly.

We miss you and love you Lexie. Sending my love to Lexie’s family as they grieve. Thank you for sharing your baby with us. We will cherish our memories and time with your sweet girl!

Thinking about my Luke a lot lately. I miss him. It still doesn’t feel real. Anyhow - this video was the last time I had him in the park with the pack. I showed up to Luke’s house that morning and he was not in the window. He always waited in the window. I took him with us because he wanted to go. I had no idea this would be our last outing. After the park I met his owner at the veterinarian. You just never know when it’s going to be the last time. Make the most of it. Look how happy he was, even after his friend Luna stole his toy. 🥺❤️

The moment he got his cake. He hasn’t been eating much, but he went straight for it! ❤️

I gotta tell you.. Luke gave us all quite the scare on Thursday when we thought he was declining quickly. I truly believe the sedatives from the tests made it seem that way. He was having accidents in the house and couldn’t control those functions. He’s still struggling to swallow, but he’s not ready to go yet. Yesterday he was waiting in the window to go to the park and he’s too fragile to go to the park. So, I brought some friends to see him. I also brought some delicious treats from Seattle Barkery. He got an entire doggy cake and ate half of it. He was so happy, and that’s what’s important. ❤️

The ONLY dog that has permission to put Luna on her back. Afterwards she humps him as a thank you. This is love y’all. 😂🐶

Good morning! Rainy days aren’t all that fun, but we have the park to ourselves almost!

When the catnip kicks in. 🤪😸

We took 9 dogs to the park this morning. That’s a record for me. Most the walkers at the park bring 9-10. I never thought I’d reach that level. Anyhow, I felt comfortable because my kiddo tagged along to help. We all had a blast!! 🤪❤️🐶

Bear & Rigby had a great time playing today. Then Luna came in and tried to hump Rigby. 😂

Did you know that cats have scent glands in their mouths? Midnight’s family moved and I didn’t see him for over a year. Now when I visit he marks my socks with his scent. Cats can claim you just like dogs. ❤️ I’m just glad he likes me. It took months to earn his trust when I first met him years ago. I’m so lucky. Happy Friday everyone!
