We're excited to welcome our furry friends from Southern California, and even more excited for you to meet them in person early next week. Thank you to everyone for the support as we prepare for this rescue flight's arrival.
We don't know where these rain clouds came from, but Apollo wants you to know he tried his best to bring the sun out! And he's trying is doggone darnedest to find his new family, so we'll shine a little light on this good boy. He came to us through our friends at the Whatcom Humane Society last Saturday. He'd been part of a seizure case involving more than 20 dogs, and he enjoyed play groups back at WHS. Unlike the sun, Apollo is easy enough to harness but, just like that Greek god, he is used to roaming. Harness this good boy for your family today!
Holy Shih Tzu, would you look at Mable and Dipper! They got all dressed up for their trip here from the Auburn Valley Humane Society. Don't let the facial hair fool you - they are young, spry and not very shy. Grab a sweater and pay them a visit at Seattle Humane!
Rufus is capable of making viral TikToks with his amazing acting skills but, for some reason, he just can't seem to attract a family audience to bring him home! He's as smart as he is handsome, walks well on a leash, is a chew toy connoisseur and knows all the basic training cues. He's been giving award-winning performances here since early November, and we think it's time he took his show on the road!
It doesn't matter what time of day it is - Zoey is always down to cuddle! This easygoing 8-year-old pittie mix has been waiting to find a family here at Seattle Humane since mid-November. She's watched Thanksgiving, Chanukah, Christmas and New Year's Eve pass by without a family to call her own. We hope to see her giving her people big, wet kisses well before Valentine's Day! She's hanging out upstairs with Social Media Guy today, so just ask an adoption advisor to have him bring her down for a visit.
This Chocolate Shake won't give you brain freeze, but he will give you lots of warm kisses! This senior pittie came to us from the Blue Mountain Humane Society back in mid-December, and he spent several weeks in a foster home as our vet team did more lab work on this old boy. We removed a malignant mass and he's been healing up from that, but it's hard to say if it will come back or spread. Chocolate Shake doesn't know any of this, of course. He knows that he loved spending time with the dogs in his foster home, the best way to get someone's attention is to make Chewbacca noises, he can't get enough squeaky toys, and going to the office with his foster mom to be the center of attention was the best! He may not be a puppy, but we know the right family will ensure Chocolate Shake's best years are ahead of him!
Leia Organa is a pretty princess and expects to be treated as much. She didn't like it at the shelter with all of us scruffy-looking nerf herders, so she took an escape pod to the foster planet where she is feeling much more relaxed. It took her some time to warm up to the humans on that planet, but the resident feline has been vouching for them. You don't have to be an influential senator from Alderaan (RIP) to adopt Leia, but an experienced cat owner who can offer her a quiet home and time to warm up will have the most success. In time, she'll go from Hoth and bothered to a cuddly member of the rebel alliance. Short stormtroopers need not apply!
All the way from Yakima Valley to Dorm 3, give these little dogs (and Vinny) a warm welcome! They're all still available for adoption!! 🐾❤️
Dinah is a sweet bowl of Louisiana mew with a side of fluffy biscuits looking to add a little flavor to your family. This is her second time here at Seattle Humane, having come back after a year of not being jazzed about the other pets in the home. Is Dinah a diva? Purrtentially! Is it easy to see why? Absolutely! Come on down and see how much you knead this beautiful biscuit maker.
