Minnie Mouse was feeling a little sad, so it was time for another check-up from Dr. Peel Good. Turns out she just needed a big dose of cuddles! She was also prescribed some decompression time in a loving foster home, but that doesn't mean you can't ask an adoption advisor to arrange a cuddle session and, with any luck, a happy gotcha day for this terrific tripawd!
What stinks more than lime dip? Spending your puppyhood in a shelter. Clyde here is waiting for a family to take him home through our Foster-to-Adopt program, where they'll be able to treat his ringworm at home, and then adopt him when he's all cleared. All of his food, supplies and medications will be provided, and you'll work with our fantastic foster team throughout the FTA period. Bone-us: You get to name your adoption fee when the time comes! Consider it a full Clyde scholarship!
One of our thoughtful animal care associates was feeling sad they couldn't take all of our long-timer doggos home, so she and her mom did the next best thing and hit the pet store to give them all new toys! Iggy had a blast taking his new toys on test drive around the play yard, and you can take him home today and name your own adoption fee!!
ADOPTED: Kittens seem to just fly off the shelf at animal shelters, so Wassem has to take matters into this own paws! This gray cuddle bug will get right up in your purrsonal space for lots of pets, head boops and, on occasion, a free ride wherever you're going. Let Wassem hitch a ride home with you today!
Note: He will be leaving in a carrier. 😅🐾❤
If you've been in our adoption lobby recently, there's no way you haven't heard about Katy, or at least heard Katy calling. This sweet, senior kitty has a prime spot meant to make this 16-year-old more visible and, of course, audible!! She was surrendered to Seattle Animal Shelter back in September and evaluated for quality of life. Since arriving here in early October, we've also assessed this spry senior. She has the usual chronic kidney disease you see in so many cats lucky to live a long life and her teeth could be better, but we believe she still has lots of love to give. When she isn't calling for attention, Katy enjoys watching her bird and squirrel programs on the iPad. You can use one of our kiosks to check in and meeting Katy today!
Tatsu hadn't seen his friend, Kash, for nearly a month - as you can see, he couldn't contain his excitement! His previous owner had to move back to Russia and couldn't bring him along, so now Tatsu is back on the market. He would love to go home with an equally rambunctious friend and a loving family to help this 8-month-old pupper continue his training. We've tested Kash with calmer dogs and, well, he just prefers a more chaotic companion. If you've struggled to find a friend that will tolerate your furry wild child, we hope you'll consider congenial Kash!
ADOPTED: Alie knows what she likes, and she is not shy about telling you. For all the mumbles and grumbles, this cute collie is very sweet and affectionate. Alie loves getting lots of pets and being up close with you and couple crunchy treats. Let's form an Alie-ance to get this beautiful pupper home!
ADOPTED: Spud is sad that there are still people out there who think you shouldn't adopt black cats during spooky season. We assure you all of our black cats are cuddly and have almost no affiliation with the occult. Also, no, people are not adopting black cats for their satanic rituals. Seriously, get in here and cuddle this Spud and all of our beautiful black kitties! You'll be haunted with regret if you don't. 🐈⬛🐾❤
We had some leftover pupcakes from a reception celebrating the release of our 2025 pet calendar, and big Titan looked like he could use a little treat. This precious piblet came to us from Quincy Animal Shelter two weeks ago and had been conically challenged for much of that time. Now, his handsome head is free and Titan can really tuck in! We hope to see this good boy and all our precious pibbles go home during National Pitbull Awareness Month!!
Everyone enjoy the entertaining energy of Ethan, Emma and Edward! These enchanting kittens are easy to love and we envy the wonderful families each one will soon encounter. We entreat you to enter Seattle Humane to ensure adoption expeditiously!
You gotta wonder if Mavis ever gets tired! Well, she is a 1-year-old lab mix, so probably not anytime soon. This sweet pupper loves to play fetch and practice tricks for treats. She's also met a few dogs here for some side-by-side walkies. The world can sometimes feel big and scary for Mavis, and she will benefit from having a family that will work with her on helping her be brave. Ask an adoption advisor for more Mavis facts!
Shrek's cuteness was unfortunately no match for the puppies this weekend, and this savvy senior found himself still available on Monday. Since we weren't open to the public, this good boy deserved an office foster internship. Shrek really enjoyed the extra attention and his short walks to sniff all the things. With any luck, this little guy with a big personality will receive a full-time position in a loving family very soon!
A number of adult cats transferred to Seattle Humane through Center Valley Animal Rescue have been adopted, but we still have a few feline friends looking for loving homes. Having come from a large-scale hoarding case, many are understandably shy around people and more accustomed to other cats. Dusk spent much of yesterday hiding, but a little time, love and lots of encouragement from her BFF, Potion, had her out and making biscuits before, well, dusk. They are both feeling purrky this morning and ready to go home together or maybe to a home with some new cat friends - preferably less than 100.
It would be a biggy deal if Iggy got finally got adopted! This handsome boy has been looking for a home since mid-August. We guarantee you'll never be bored when you have this fun-loving, splooty cutie around. Whether rain or shine, Iggy is always ready for adventure!
These adorable puppies just left the Hundred Acre Wood in search of their new families! They came in through our Mom's Last Litter program, where folks who find themselves with a surprise litter can bring mama by to be spayed and let us find those puppies loving homes with a little more room to grow. Come pay them a visit before these silly ol' puppies are all spoken for!
