Spooks Gotta Nifty, aka Nifty, is a 2020 AQHA buckskin gelding that stands 15.1hh. Nifty is the picture of an ideal quarter horse. That isn’t just my opinion, the judges seem to agree. He has the awards to prove it, 3 Reserve Championships and money earned! Nifty has demonstrated time and again why he is my go-to horse over the last 3 years. Whether I am working cattle, training colts, trail riding or heading to the show pen, Nifty is the horse I would turn to in order to get the job done. Not to mention look darn good doing it!
His sire, Haidas Lil Gun is a NRHA money earner, World Show Qualifier and Regional Affiliate Qualifier with AQHA points and his performance ROM. His offspring have proven themselves at Congress, AQHA World, APHA World, IQHA Ranch Horse Futurity and Ranch Horse Extravaganza shows, earning money in several classes.
Nifty has been with us since February of his 2-year-old year. We started him in our program, and he has proved to be very smart, willing to please and athletic. Over the last 3 years, he has developed into a trusted partner that is always there when needed and up for any task.
In the arena, Nifty has been shown at the IQHA Ranch Horse Futurity and Ranch Horse Extravaganza. He excels at Ideal Ranch, Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail and Ranch Cow Work. He is very easy to show, light in the bridle, moves off leg aids, smooth transitions and flying lead changes. On the ranch, he is my go-to partner no matter if we are moving and sorting cattle, hunting for a stray calf in steep, rocky, and brushy terrain or just easing the cattle along from pasture to pasture.
Nifty is used to traffic and machinery, ties, baths, loads, stands for the farrier and vet. He is 100% sound in every way. I could go on and on about Nifty, but I’ll end with this - If you want one horse that has everything, disposition, conformation, training, athletic ability, a great mind and is stunning. Not to mention, he can do just about any job and earn a paycheck, take a look at Nifty!
