RIP the dog car! My 2006 Toyota Highlander has had hundreds if not thousands of dogs in it over its lifetime. I bought it from a Dogsitter/Dogwalker and it turned into my dog car as well. Over the years it has driven all over Seattle and Bellevue and Redmond and… All in service of walking dogs and taking care of dogs. On my way back from Phoenix to Seattle it started overheating outside of Vegas. I made it to Reno where I discovered it needed Radiator fluid. On the way from Reno to Bend. It was doing great until all of a sudden it wasn’t. About 5 miles outside of Klamath Falls I called AAA because I couldn’t drive without it overheating. The wonderful folks at Klamath Falls Toyota did their best, (Thanks Joe Funk!) but in the end, it would have meant going into the engine block and cost thousands of dollars and multiple days. Since I was driving to Seattle to pick up my new car that didn’t make sense. So I left the car that Tuffy the tow truck driver brought to a safe place in Klamath Falls. it did good at over 237,000 miles! And someone bought it from me, so maybe it will now have its third life! You did good dog car!

At the beginning of 2022 I wanted to be out of the house and have it sold by the end of the year. November 10 the keys went to another family. My cousin Dennis asked if we’d like to sell our farm section. Middle of December keys were turned over to 75% of the farm, including the part that Liz and I owned. Now the gifts that mom and dad bequeath us are funding my upcoming retirement. Thanks, mom and dad!💜🙏🏻

Charlie supervised the movers who took my stuff to storage today. I have a month to go through all those boxes! I already know at least half of it is going in garbage or recycling. The house should go on the market next week so if anybody wants to buy a house in Bellevue keep an eye out! I will post the listing when it happens.

I’m in the middle of clearing out the house of 47 years of things as it goes on the market next week. Yesterday I found my fabric stash. All this fabric is at least 40 years old and my tastes have not changed!💜😁

It was cool enough today that Murphy and Lilu walked almost 30 minutes under the trees. Amazing how much cooler 85 degrees feels from the previous week’s 95 degrees.
