Yesterday we were driving through the Trinity Alps in CA, and came upon these two beautiful dogs running along the highway in 104 degrees. They seemed very lost, very hot and exhausted so we stopped to see if we could help them. After several bowls of water and about half of Roxy's food supply for our trip, they allowed us to get them into the back of the truck. We drove to the nearest town and started trying to find people who recognized the dogs. No luck. Some of the locals started making calls to some of the outlying cabins and ranches and found a ranch that had been looking for their dogs for about a day and half. Yay! One of the locals took the dogs home and reunited them with their owners. ❤️
