🔥🥵🐾FRIENDLY PSA🐾🥵🔥

As the temperature begins to rise for the summer, it can become dangerous to your furry friends!

📣 Hot pavement can burn paws.

🐶 Remember to check the temps outside before adventures and opt for grassy or shaded areas if it's going to be hot! Do your daily walks early in the morning before it starts to get hot or in the evening as the temps start to drop.

📣 Too long in the heat without a way to cool down can lead to heat exhaustion, heat stroke, or even death. Especilly for our double/long coated breeds and smooshy faced friends.

🐶 Be sure to bring water for your fury friends to get a drink and to wet them down in the heat when out on adventures. If you have a smooshy faced friend, it's not recommended to have them out in heat over 70°-75° weather without a place for them to go and cool down frequently.

📣 Cars heat up fast and can quickly become a dangerous situation for your fury friends

🐶 Unless you leave the car running with the AC on, it's not recommended to leave your pups in the car! Even with the windows down, the inside of your car heats up fast!

🎉PUP OF THE WEEK🎉

Hey Lounge Crew, the names Flounder! I'm an 8 month of Chihuahua mix, and I've been overlooked for 9 whole weeks, and I'm pretty tired of it! Look at me! Look at me in the face! I'm cute and lovable!
The hoomans here have shown me that I'm safe enough to trust strangers and that I can be loved on without fear. Even now that I'm not scared, I'm still being overlooked. Not gonna lie, I was pretty terrified when my brothers and I arrived at the rescue. I would hide so well they didn't see me under my brothers and the bed!
Now I'm a confedent boy who's tired of telling these young pups that just because I'm small doesn't mean they can push me around. I'm so ready for a home of my own with a lap, sunny spots to bath in, and a hooman to call my own! So don't be a guppy and take me home!

Flounder is an 8 month old Chi mix who came in to our rescue partner with his 2 brothers after being saved from the EU list. The 3 of them were pretty scared and have come so far, we couldn't be more proud of them. He's neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and about 10 pounds, if that! He's the perfect boy but is starting to get an attitude with the other pups who see his small body and don't take him seriously when he gives corrections. Don't let that discourage you from adoption as we wholeheartedly believe that it's an environmental thing and once he's in a home and realizes that he doesn't always have to prove how "tough" he is, it will stop. Stop in to meet him and gaze into his honey brown eyes and try not to fall in love!

💙PUP OF THE WEEK💙

Hey fureinds! I'm Eric, a 6 month old shepherd mix! They say I'm the pup of the week because I'm a pure bred good boy with some house training! I would be an even more good boy in a home! I was in a home for a few months where they learned so much about me! I'll need lots of stimulation or a job to live a happy life! I'm good with cats, small dogs, kids when I've had time to burn some of my overflowing energy and great on leach! When I was in a home, I exclusively used p*e pads to p*e but would go outside to p**p which means I'll be fully potty trained to the outside in no time! I'm very observant, so I would make an excellent therapy or service dog if given the chance and training which I desperately want so I can graduate from a pure bred good boy to an excellent good boy! I'm very food motivated, so a pocket treat will help me along with my training perfectly! Especilly freeze-dried liver or salmon skin treats 😉 I know how to sit and what the word "no" means. I may give the stink eye, but I'll lesson if you mean business. I love to play tug-o-war and zoom around. I also love sun y windows and grass!

I don't like the rain much. Skate boards are loud and a little scary, and I hate when joggers run by and the hooman says I can't run with them! Stairs are tricky, but I'm getting them, I just gotta think about my plan of attack first. I'm also not a big fan of sharing the bed and give a mean side eye when you disagree with me.

I'm looking for someone with experience in high-energy and working breed, who's got the time and patience to help me graduate to an excellent good boy and who wants to take me on ALL the adventures! I ride well in the car so the "getting to adventure" part will be easy
Please remember that just because I'm big, doesn't mean that I'm not still a puppy who needs guidance. I want to be your best friend, your road dog, your adventure buddy for the rest of my life! Are you my human?

Photo tax is of Bulb, A.K.A BuBu, who was there but not quite ready for adoption yet due to an infection in his joints. He's currently in a foster home being cared for and working on PT/OT to regain function in those front legs ❤️🐾
