Animal chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine or treatment for animals. Similar to human chiropractic, it can be helpful for a variety of conditions that affect animals. I have retired from equine chiropractic. Animals with back pain can present with a variety of symptoms, ranging from decreased willingness to jump up, reluctance to climb stairs, crying out or whimpering, trembling, lethar

gy, carrying the neck low or the back arched, or just "not feeling himself". Stiffness and soreness following exercise and exertion are other common symptoms. If your dog is over 5 years old, is on pain meds, or has arthritis, they are probably a candidate for chiropractic to help them feel better. If your dog is showing any of the above symptoms, or other symptoms that concern you, have him examined and consider having some x-rays done.
