Tails-A-Wagging is looking to add a new staff members to their FABULOUS doggie daycare team!
We are hiring for someone to start in our Pack Leader position working with dogs with plans to further cross-train to customer service, prepare doggie lunches, be able to multi-task, help both back of house and the front desk and work independently. At Tails-A-Wagging we believe is using only dog friendly, reward based, fear free techniques with the dogs in our care. If you think dogs should be handled with spray bottles, knees to the chest, verbal and/or physical reprimands-this is not the job for you. Dogs are sentient beings and deserve to be treated as such.

Tails-A-Wagging cares for dogs during the work day while their people are away at work. Dogs come to play, socialize, exercise, and learn!
Dogs are loud, silly, loving, and a bit dirty; you need to love all of that!
We are looking for people who can be available both mornings and afternoons, Monday-Friday. We are open Monday-Friday from 6:55 am-6:05 pm and are looking for people with an open schedule between those hours.
Staff are also expected to attend a hour long staff meeting- one day after hours, once every other month from 6:05 PM to 7:05 PM. Approx. 20-30 hours/week with a possibility of more, for this position.
Please do not apply if you are not able to work Monday-Friday. Training is a week + of paid training where you learn about working with dogs one on one and in groups, reading dog body language, learning about appropriate play and interactions, and MUCH more.

Our Ideal Candidates: An unshakably positive attitude is a must as job is challenging both physically and mentally -- We love these dogs rain or shine! We are looking for someone that is going to bring something to the table every time they come to work.
Being a self-starter, being able to multitask effectively, have a good sense of urgency and have passion for change and continued improvement are a must. Must be 18+ and looking for a long-term position. Although previous experience with dogs and animals is an asset, we value your customer service skills and attitude more.
Your drive should be for providing the best possible service for the dogs AND their owners. Prior experience working professionally with dogs preferred, but we are willing to train the right person!
Position starts at $17.30/hour, with a review meeting in 3 months. You will be given the opportnity to earn raises based on continued education through our Paw-sitive Track Levels Program- an incentive program to help staff know as much as they can about dog training!
