Meet Cocoa! She may be small in size, but her spirit is strong. This sweet girl arrived to Yakima Humane Society in heartbreaking condition, severely matted, emaciated, and in need of a lot of TLC. But despite everything she's been through, Cocoa has remained incredibly gentle, social, and full of love. She's around six years old and thought to be a Lhasa Apso/Mix.

Now cleaned up, feeling better, and gaining strength every day, Cocoa is ready for a fresh start. She loves being around people and is happiest when she can just hang out nearby, soaking up your presence. She doesn't ask for much, just a warm spot to rest, a kind hand to pet her, and a family to show her what it means to be truly cared for.

Cocoa is the definition of resilience and sweetness. If you're looking to make a real difference in a dog's life, and gain a loving companion in return, Cocoa would love to meet you. We love pupdates! Hard to believe it's already been a year since we welcomed the Chevy litter from Aloha Ilio Rescue here's what Coco's (FKA Malibu) family has to say.

We wanted to give a pupdate on Coco. We are celebrating the anniversary of her Gotcha day 1 year ago!

She is still enjoying life on Orcas Island- She has taken up swimming recently and loves going to the beach! She's 29.6 pounds, a super talkative and funny gal, and a bit bossy yet still gentle as a lamb.

She has added so much laughter and joy to our lives and we are so happy to have her as an addition to our family. Please feel free to share our info with her littermates- we always wonder about them and would love to see how they're doing! Thank you again for helping bring her to us.

Sweet little Koa is patiently waiting for a family! Currently located in Bellingham WA. He's being fostered along with a few other dogs and a kitty.
