"The time has come. It’s too soon. We worked too hard to get back. Screw cancer. Although Bowie has a sound mind his body has failed him. Untreatable liver cancer is what is taking him from us. He beat bone cancer, fully recovered and went to work for 10 days and logged a non-contact apprehension. I’m devastated, surprised and saddened to have to say we will say our goodbyes in the morning. A righteous procession and tribute will be in store. A beast of a police K9 feared by criminals & a lover of friends & family. This dog was a true unicorn. My best friend and the boy who made me so proud. Thank you to everyone that had involvement with his life. He touched so many. The bestest boy. 🤗 ❤️"

We are heartbroken for Officer Disch and his family to make the hard decision in Bowie's best interest.

K9 Igo, a K9 you've ll funded...

This morning, a Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle, but the passenger fled on foot. It was later discovered that the passenger was violating a Domestic Violence No Contact Order. K9 Igo was deployed to track the suspect, following a trail that crossed all lanes of I-5 and the track was almost a mile long. Despite repeated opportunities to surrender, the suspect refused, and K9 Igo successfully took him into custody. Excellent work by K9 Igo and our Deputies!
