Happy New Year to everyone!! Wanted to let everyone know that there is some sort of upper respiratory virus showing it's ugly head. We have not seen any problems ourselves, thank goodness, but it can be airborne, so keep a close eye on your dogs. If they start sneezing or coughing, please have your vet check them out. Becky Zoll

"With this long overdue post I would like to introduce the wonderful Flo Osborne." Flo is 89 years young and lives in a assisted living facility. During the first lockdown and after, Flo in her little kitchen baked up to 20 yummy fruit cakes (so a little over 100 in total) for our food drive for those in need and supported us in helping other people before.
She made every single cake herself, mixed the dough, cut the fruit and then put it in her little oven. In my eyes, this is a great achievement for the community and once again clears up the prejudices that age stops one from still being part of society.
On the contrary, my frustration is that I couldn't get the local news, radio or TV to write about this wonderful woman's great work. That's why I address all the users here via Facebook, of which there are much more than in the mainstream media. Lets make Flo a social media heroine."

Good morning everyone. Today is Feb. 7 and I had my left hip surgery yesterday about noon. I had my right hip done 5 years ago and it went great. I thought I wasnt being smart getting in within a few months of my hip bothering me. Nope, it was worse. But AGAIN, I am so thrilled with Avita Hospital, Dr. Scott Foster, Chad Miley, Ross, Carly and Jayne. Just the BEST.. The staff and nurses are amazing. Justin was my nite nurse and I couldnt have ask for a better nurse, very gentle, very kind.My nurse thru the day I dont remember as much but she was also very good, never made me feel like I was a hassle ir anything. Thank you to all of you for such wonderful care. Now I get to go home today where I get the BEST CARE from my hubby ANDY. So many of us are going thru surgeries, etc and I sure wish you all the best. Absolutely beautiful story. Why can't the world be this. We have a family friend that is actually family to us. She would be this little girl. I wouldnt want her to ever leave our family. She is so, so special and we all love her

"My daughter and I are in Myrtle Beach taking a sunset walk when this adorable and sweet little boy comes walking right up to her. He shares with her the shark tooth around his neck. He tells her his name and asks her name to which she tells him. They part ways while saying goodbye, walking in the opposite direction.
A few minutes later he comes running back, in what seems to be in slow motion, yelling out my daughter's name. She turns around and is greeted by his smile. So they share a few words, mainly about his super cool shark's tooth that apparently gave him powers 🙂.
Before they walked, talked and raced, I asked his mother for permission to take this picture and this was the result. No one positioned them, told them to smile and there was absolutely no hesitation on their part at all. When we finished walking and it was time to go they hugged for a long time and exchanged about 20 "goodbyes"
This is a moment that we humans understand as just simply seeing no color lines, no judgement, no race, no hate, no shades. It's just pure....two kids meeting on a sunset walk without a care in the world...all they saw was each other.
This world would be a much better place if we acted like these two kids."
