Formed by Dr. White in the early 1980βs, Catawba Heights Animal Hospital has been serving the Mount Holly, Belmont, and surrounding areas for over 30 years. Claws and Paws Inn was created in the late 80βs for grooming, daycare, and boarding.
CHAH and Claws and Paws Inn was purchased by Dr. Kelly Wallace in 2019. Dr. Wallace graduated from Auburn University in 2002 with a BS in Microbiology, and went on to graduate from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. After graduation, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she was a general practitioner and relief veterinarian at local pet emergency clinics.
At Claws and Paws Inn, we are all pet owners, so we know how important your pet is and how choosing a place you can trust is crucial. We provide indoor, climate controlled runs with outdoor access. The outdoor portion is covered so you dog can have access to the outside even in the rain. Elevated beds and blankets are provided upon request. Dogs from the same family can share the same run, as to ease the stress of being away from home. Dogs send time socializing and playing with other dogs (with permission from owner) and with the workers. Our number one priority is learning more about each individual dog to best provide them with the care they deserve. As for cats, they are provided a condo with a litter box and bedding. We are not able to let them roam, but we do provide them plenty of attention if the owner wishes.
With the new ownership, we hope to be able to improve our services and make 2020 the best year yet.
