So, your vet has diagnosed your dog with a torn cruciate ligament (CCL). What is a cruciate ligament? The cruciate ligament in a dog is equivalent to an ACL in a human. CCL rupture is the most common orthopedic injury in dogs and the leading cause of arthritis in the knee. Horses need veterinary care too, and it's important to keep their health in tip-top shape. We're happy to provide services for your equine needs! Horses, just like people, need to have their teeth checked regularly. In this video, Dr. Couture is floating teeth. This is a process where she is smoothing out any abnormalities or sharp points that may hinder this horse from eating properly. Don't worry, the horse has a nice relaxing medication to help him stay still while she works. Dropping Grain and weight loss could be a sign that something is not quite right in your horse's mouth.
