It’s FAIR week!!

Best week ever! Rhosgobel Rabbitry’s first show at the Boone County fair. Pinecone took home 6th place in the solid Sr bucks, Molly took 3rd place in the solid Sr does, and Little Debbie took 2nd in the solid Sr does - despite biting the judge 😬 Kids all learned a TON and are planning on breeding next time to work on some of the weaknesses. Special thanks to Rose Farms Rabbitry who have encouraged and helped us every step with their hard earned knowledge and extreme kindness!

After 10 months of trying- we finally have two litters! We’re over the moon excited to keep learning and experience new life. Little Debbie had the group of 3 and Maggie followed the next day with the single.

Let’s talk pets! What does a pet bunny need to be healthy and happy? First post- a safe home. We have a few different set ups at our house depending on the rabbit. One is an xl dog kennel for nights and times when we’re not home or when he’s naughty 😬 Franklin gets to be out in the house like a puppy when he’s being good. He’s mostly potty trained so will go back to his potty bin *usually* to do his business. I’ll write some separate posts about potty training and food but in the cage you’ll need food and water bowls and a litter pan. Bunnies also love toys - hard plastic baby toys, paper towel tubes to throw around and Timothy hay tunnels and mats are all favorites here. They love little boxes to sit in or hide beneath. Another cage option is wire with a sliding tray underneath to collect the waste. Easy to clean especially if you don’t potty train. Some people use “x pens” to create large areas for their bunnies which is really fun. Pinterest has tons of ideas if you have the space- you can be really creative just keep in mind that most bunnies can jump pretty high 😉

Last, but not least, our other new lady- Little Debbie! She’s had a tougher time settling in to her new home but is doing well now. She’ll hopefully have a litter with Mr Pym before too long!

Meet Maggie! This doll is also a two year old Holland Lop and she’s expecting a litter with her husbunny Mr Pym. She loves being petted but hates our kittens 😂

Introducing Mr Pym! He is a 2 year old black tort Holland Lop and is as sweet as pie. He’s waiting with us to meet his new babies due next month!
