Today I began a new service, hand stripping! These were my first clients to receive it, Dublin and Sarah, two Petit Basset Griffon Vendeens. You may recognize the breed from last years Westminster dog show where they placed best in show. If you have a dog that calls for hand stripping as their breed standard groom (most wirecoated breeds) I can now do that! Although I just started to hand strip I have learned a lot over the last couple of years about it and am so happy to start doing it on dogs! If you have any questions about whether we can do it on your dog and pricing just message me!

Don’t forget to register for our Pet First Aid and CPR class! Pre-registration is required for the class! The website is below!! We have a very small attendance so far and if we don’t have at least 20 people we will have to cancel the event. Please register by May 1st so we can still do this!

Douglas had his first S’Paw day today! He was perfect! He fell asleep while being dried and getting his nails done! What a cute puppy!

I had a real job on my hands tonight! This is Vedder and he came in with quite the impacted undercoat. I was able to give him a good deshed with our fantastic Hydra shampoo and conditioner and blew out all of his undercoat to reveal his gorgeous and silky coat! He was the best big boy and got free range of the salon during the grooming session to make him as comfortable as possible! Being a senior Newfoundland grooming can be stressful but we did everything we could to give him the best possible time at Finn’s!

Hello everyone! I’m planning on hosting a CPR/first aid class in the salon for pet parents/professionals. Kendra and myself attended his class on Saturday to get continued knowledge on how to care for your pets in case of emergency. After taking the class I decided to have the same teacher come in to the salon to teach anyone who would like to attend! Once I can get a date figured out I will be posting about it again with prices, dates and times!

I want to thank all of my amazing customers for another great year at Finn’s! It is crazy to think that another year has gone by and I am so grateful to everyone that has supported my business! I hope you all have the best holiday season, the merriest Christmas and very happy new year! The salon will be closed from December 24th until January 2nd and are looking forward to seeing everyone in the new year!
