🚨In case you haven't heard, Capeside now offers endoscopy!

Only a small number of practices in the area offer this helpful and versatile piece of medical equipment.

Here are some doggies who were recently able to avoid surgery to remove foreign objects in their stomach, thank you to endoscopy!🙌🏼

Pictured first is this cutie. She decided to eat the top of her Moms new Birkenstock sandal complete with all three buckles.

Second was a little Frenchie that ate the top of her rubber Kong toy, but we were able to remove it with the scope.

Endoscopy can also be used as a diagnostic tool to evaluate the GI and urinary tract in patients with diseases affecting these organs. Cool stuff and we are excited to be offering this procedure!! 🎉

Backstory:
She was originally brought into Bladen Animal Control as a pregnant stray but due to the extra care her and her puppies would need, they asked for a rescue to take her in. CAH and Furever Friends Animal Rescue without hesitation did just that. She has been with us since the end of September and shortly after, gave birth to her 9 puppies. All have since then been adopted but momma is still looking for her home.

She is very sweet and gentle but shy and apprehensive when meeting new people. She would do best in a calm home with a patient owner where she can have time to adjust to yet another new environment and humans. She has become very attached to the hospital staff who have cared for her. Once she knows and trusts you, she is a JOY, playful, loving and gentle.❤️ Loves to go for walks, chases after her toys, but most importantly loves some belly rubs. She walks well on and off a leash, is potty trained and crate trained.

• She is heartworm positive and undergoing treatment, once treatment is complete she will be spayed and microchipped. Adoption fee includes spay, microchip, current vaccinations and heartworm treatments.
