I know a lot of hunters including myself (at one time) prefer to keep the antlers like they were when harvested but it makes a big difference building them back to what they once were!

Customer with a very nice buck but unfortunately the cape was not salvageable for use on a shoulder mount. I did still have the skull plate/antlers and was able to form and mold it back into this replica skull, followed up with a white cover paint and lastly had it dipped.

Since I had a little time, did a skull mount of my archery 2024 North Dakota buck, finishing up a variety of antler mounts and looking forward to beginning the 2024 shoulder mounts as soon as the capes start coming back in.

Fun project with a customer dropping off some antelope shells, needing some TLC and repairs, plus putting them together to what they once were. Turned out great!

Thanks to the Johnson family for allowing me to work on my craft over the last few years. Hopefully we will see you next month! Had to get a picture of this one with some fall colors before the leaves drop. Congrats Britani, he will be ready in a few days.

Looking forward to this coming fall with our new pup Cooper and pheasant hunting but while on an early shed hunt this past winter Coop found this bear that must have passed last summer or fall. He was pretty proud so brought it home (also got a permit from the Warden) and cleaned him up for the man cave.

While waiting on the rest of my capes to come back from the tannery, had the time to mount up my North Dakota archery buck from last fall. Nice chocolate antlers, also had to rebuild his right G3 that was broke off at the main beam. Really like this full sneak wall pedestal form.

Always a pleasure working on mounts for younger hunters. Their excitement is contagious. My son Ethan was able to put Grant on his first turkey and Grant stepped up and took care of business!
