We are thrilled to announce that our Public Microchip Reader Station has been successfully installed! This station allows anyone who finds a lost pet to easily scan for a microchip and follow the provided instructions to reunite them with their owner. It’s a simple, efficient way to help lost pets get back home quickly and safely.

We’re hoping to spread the word about this invaluable resource. If you or someone you know finds a lost pet, please refer them to our station at 413 NW Hill St. Bend 97702.

How it works:
Simply bring the found pet to the station located at FIXbend 413 NW Hill St. anytime. Use the reader to scan the microchip. Follow the step-by-step instructions to access the pet’s registered contact information and alert the owner.

This service is being provided by FIXbend, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing low-cost spay, neuter, vaccine, and microchip services to Central Oregon. To learn more about what we do please visit FIXbend.org.

These are independent contractor positions. Contractors are required to certify in pet first aid. Contractors are held to a code of conduct, offered training + certification reimbursement.

Like it or not, 💥fireworks are on the way! PLEASE help our overflowing shelters by taking some extra steps to make sure your pets don't run off or can be reunited if they do.

💥 UPDATE your microchip info (it's FREE even if it doesn't look like it!)
💥 UPDATE your pet tag or ADD a tag for quicker reuniting
💥 KEEP them INSIDE
💥 DON'T bring them to events!

Other tips for calming:
💥 MUSIC to drown out the sound
💥 MEDICATION for serious cases
💥 TIRE them out with exercise ahead (mental or physical)
💥 GIVE them something TO DO (Kongs, lick mats, puzzles)
💥 CLOSE windows and give them a safe place to chill

It's incredibly difficult to plan in neighborhoods, however here are planned events and where they're being held. Stay safe and keep those pets safely at home!!

La Pine: The Fireworks Show will be held in the meadow West of Highway 97, 3rd Street & Walker at 10 pm.

Redmond: Deschutes Fair & Expo Center just before sunset to enjoy Redmond’s annual fireworks display begins at dusk, or around 10 p.m.

Prineville: Starts at dark (around 9p) and can be seen from most locations in Prineville as they are let off from Ochoco Wayside State Park, also known as the viewpoint.

Bend: Pilot Butte at 10pm

We provide pick up and drop off and pamper the fur babies with engaging and enriching off leash adventures.
