Rollin, rollin, rollin…
◈ Rolling is my go-to for sensitive highly tendinous areas (say on the lower leg and stifle) when rehabbing injuries or working on performance recovery ◈

This is Tally Cat.
68 days ago she got her tail forcefully amputated, by what we suspect was a car. She had fractures to her pelvis, sacrum, and now only has 3 coccygeal vertebrae left (cats average 21+ coccygeal vertebrae). She received phenomenal care from our local emergency clinic and they shared with us she had several indicators that she could recover. So what were we to do, gracefully my husband said we have every ability to give her a chance, we have to try.
Fast forward, she has been making a miraculous recovery, and we’re thanking our Equiscope sessions for some of that.
When animals with tails get them ‘pulled’ off-they typically suffer from luxation of the spinal column. Affecting a long list of things, in Tally’s case the area of concern is the origin and function of the pudendal nerve. The pudendal nerve controls the function of the urinary tract.
With the guidance of some amazing veterinary practitioners and I will personally say obsessive care from her people, she now is slowly regaining control of her bladder and we are hoping to help her make a recovery of 90% or greater. We couldn’t have done it without some of these individuals, especially my friend Kristen, their support and their belief in my ability to help her heal through intensive care and out of the box rehab strategies.
Don’t let the cat wrap fool you, we just have to use it to place the electrode plates because she thinks they feel funny initially, plus it helps keep her from moving around since she has a mind of her own. Tally really does enjoy her treatments and typically falls asleep during.
Tally isn’t our typical subject but it was a great chance to see what the black box can do. All her progress is promising and we’re staying excited about her recovery and are eager see her ✨ future.
