Hello, my name is Red, and I live at The Reptile Zone. Like so many sexually mature male iguanas, I have an attitude the size of Africa! My family at The Reptile Zone ask that if you come to visit us to please give me my space and don't stare too long. I can be aggressive it's in my nature. My head bobbing is telling you that you are in my space and to please back up. If I whip my tail, it hurts a lot, and my teeth are like serrated daggers. Please respect my space.

Last but definitely not least, our resident goofball and store manager, Sherlie. She has been part of the store for roughly a year and a half. Sherlie is the owner of a small reptile rescue and has over 30 reptiles in addition to a few furry friends, talk about a full house!! She is also currently taking classes to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. You never know what color her hair will be next.

ALERT: THE REPTILE ZONE EMPLOYEE OF THE QUARTER!!

Next up, of course, is the fabulous Carys! Carys is currently attending COCC. She doesn't have any reptiles of her own just YET but we love her anyway, she is a big part of The Reptile Zone clan!

Next up, meet Zach! Zach has been a part of The Reptile Zone family for roughly 2 years. He has also worked at East Bay Vivarium in Berkley California. He has a Bearded Dragon named Gustavo, and 2 Columbian Red Tail Boas, named Leslie and Jerry.

My heart breaks for this poor noodle! Come on people!

On behalf of the Barczyk family and our entire team at The Reptarium, it is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Brian Barczyk.

More than the guiding light of our organization, Brian's fervent passion for reptiles and wildlife, along with his steadfast dedication to education, has touched innumerable hearts and minds globally.

Our deepest sympathies are with Brian's family, his friends, and all those whose lives he has touched. We've lost an exceptional individual – a visionary, mentor, and friend. For those of us who had the privilege of working alongside him, Brian's absence leaves an immeasurable void.
As we navigate this difficult time, we find comfort in the memories and the lasting light of Brian's work. He will be deeply missed but indeed, never forgotten.

The Barczyk family invites you to join us for a Public Memorial Walk-through to honor Brian’s memory. The event will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Heritage Church, located at 44625 Schoenherr Rd. Sterling Heights, MI 48313 from 1-3pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to show your support by visiting https://thereptarium.com/pages/brianbarczyk . Your engagement and involvement are greatly valued during this time.

Also, at LegaSea's opening, visitors will find Brian's handprints. Guests place their hands in his, continuing his legacy in a simple, yet powerful gesture. Please continue to follow this page for updates.

Brian, we will see you in the next one. Everyone else, see you at LegaSea.

Accepting donations for 3 specific reasons... #1- a family lost 7 of their reptiles in a house fire and another passed shortly after. We would to have her cremated and get her back to her family, $120. #2 - Central Oregon is have our first reptile show and we would love to be a sponsor to get our name out there, $250. #3 - Getting our non-profit paperwork submitted, ~$1000 last time I checked. Venmo, cashapp, paypal, accepted
