Sometimes things happen for a reason. This sweet and amazing puppy Krypton has always held a little spot in my heart from day one. I tried very hard not to take her seriously because my plans were to keep a multicolored girl from this litter.

Making a decision at 8 weeks on who I would keep for my program to move forward with was so hard. The last two girls have been with me for a total of 12 weeks and the choice now is very clear.

As a breeder I don’t want to keep a puppy in my program based off of just color alone. That doesn’t align with my goals or ethics. When I took my blinders off and really looked at both Krypton and Californium, I knew in my heart that I could not let Krypton go. Structurally she’s the better of the two girls. She also carries the multicolor gene and hopefully down the road I will get a multicolor girl to keep in my program that aligns with my goals. We’re still deciding on a name, just know I have named all of our dogs and this time both my kids have declared that they get to name Krypton. 💜 (stay tuned) I’m being forced to do a whole photoshoot. 🤣

The story gets even better, Californium has gone to an amazing home that’s local and I’ve groomed their Portuguese Water Dog’s for years. They have a small farm (horses, goats, PWD, a cat and now a Poodle) and I am super excited for her and them. Her new name is Lacie. 💚

For your consideration to those looking for a mature Poodle near VA. 🥰

As a reminder we are looking for retirement homes for Shae and Zoe. They are both 7 years of age, both UKC Grands and Rally titled. Shae is spayed, Zoe will need to be spayed. Shae will also need a home that is considerate of her health issues which include mild hip dysplasia.

On top of that, I am potentially looking for guardian homes for Zendaya (4 years) and Alexander (will turn two in May). You must be within two hours of Petersburg, VA to be considered. Zendaya will be breeding in the spring, so I may hold off on her guardian home until after the litter.
