#mancrushmonday on this long time boy ! 😍💙 sweet Tarzan has been patiently waiting in boarding for years to meet his forever family. 🤯 that is entirely way too long ….. at 6 years old, this Anatolian/ Hound mix dude has all the things going for him. 💙 Tarzan is super playful, good natured, and loves people. He has shown to be crate trained, and good with other dogs ( with proper introduction) Tarzan would love a fenced backyard to bounce around his tennis balls🎾 , which he is super obsessed with and a family to help with with leash walking and giving him attention he deserves. Tarzan is currently in Shelton WA and would love to meet you ! Feel free to set up a free afternoon with a rescue volunteer at Pyr Hope Farm for a meet and greet on the peninsula. Therapy Thursday with Homer! It has been a bit since we talked about this sweet boy, the inspiration for our senior housing project(HSHP). Homer was pulled from a shelter in Texas in horrible condition😥. He was emaciated and had Demodex Mange. He went to one of our long-term fosters who nursed him back to health. He was then eventually adopted to an active family in the PNW. However, it soon became clear that due to his age and past trauma, he needed a quieter🤫 place to live out his golden years. Thus, the Homer Senior Housing Project was created! Today, Homer is enjoying life with his senior specialty foster in Portland, who makes monthly massage therapy appointments given by our friends @resqanimalmassage. This boy is truly enjoying his life, and we're so happy to be able to facilitate it for him and seniors like him. Want to contribute to HSHP? ❤️ Friends, sad news here at heartquarters. Coralee has crossed the rainbow bridge. Four years ago in Feb our rescue participated in a rescue of dogs living in horrific conditions 💔 Coralee went to one of our fabulous fosters in TX then made her way up to her long term foster family in OR through our senior program. With a lot of loving care, confidence building, and in her surrounding safe environment, Miss Coralee thrived and had the best life. Tuesday her fosters rushed her to the vet for emergency surgery for bloat and after an overnight of monitoring in the ER, we decided to let her go as she was not responding. 😞💔 We want to thank her fosters for taking such good care of her, for those who donated supplies and sponsorship so we could make her last four years her best. Zira is searching high and low (ok, mostly low) for her forever home🏡. Although she's having a blast with her foster🩵 mom and foster💙 doggie siblings, she would be thrilled to have a patient and loving family to call her own! Great news, we were able to get these four puppies out of the Bastrop Shelter this weekend! These blue-eyed cuties (3 girls and 1 boy)are now with a wonderful foster💙!
