New Year celebrations are often accompanied by fireworks resulting in significant anxiety and stress in our canine companions.
Now is the time to reach out to your dog's veterinarian to refill any needed calming/sedating prescriptions needed. Be sure to ask for enough to last for 1-2 days before and after the holiday.
Additionally:
✅Keep your dog leashed at all times during firework events, even in a fenced yard
✅Make sure microchips are up to date with correct contact information
✅Leave a collar on your dog with appropriate identification
✅Find a quiet place in your house for your dog to rest
✅Use a radio or fans to help create white noise
✅Give your dog as much emotional support as they need
✅Use medications as directed
