We had 2 intakes today and both of them along with one of our other pets that had to see vet. Our vet bill was $420 for all three.
Mia - eye infection
Myla - intake exam, vaccines, heartworm test and heartworm prevention med. We believe that Myla is deaf and will be needing a couple of special items to help her
Elle - intake exam, vaccines, heartworm test, and heartworm prevention med. Elle is very skinny and is in need of a special diet to help her gain weight.

Both Elle and Myla will need to be spayed in the next week or so which will be another $200-$300

If you can help with the vet bills of our pets you can make a donation by Vemno, PayPal or by dropping off a donation at the Farmers State Bank in Wathena

Miss Mia is about 1.5 yrs old. She is most likely a Corgi Mix. She was one of two that was found North of Highland out in the country. She is a very shy girl but once she warms up to you she is so sweet. She needs a quiet home. She loves to lay around and get cuddles

Vincent Van Gogh (the cat on the right) was adopted last week! He went to a family that has adopted from us before (cat on left). So much happiness in this picture! The cats have become best friends!

We are looking for a volunteer to help transport cats that we are transferring to Beatrice Humane Society. If anyone can help us out we would greatly appreciate it. Transport can be done any afternoon from 1-5

Vincent wants to make you laugh! About 6 months old, neutered, up to date on vaccines. His front left leg suffered nerve damage before he got to the rescue. It doesn’t hurt him or slow him down!!! He just walks and RUNS funny. He begs for attention. We think he’ll be a bigger cat and his tail has a lot of floof!
