☀️🥵Be sure to keep your pets indoors this week! Heat stroke is a serious risk with animals outside in this heat longer than a few minutes, especially those brachycephalic breeds (French Bulldogs, American Bulldogs, English Bulldogs, etc.). We see a lot of these babies in the ER—it can be scary, tragic, expensive, and AVOIDABLE! Also, be sure your animals aren’t burning their feet on the hot ground if they’re outside for a short period. Test the ground with your bare hand for 10 seconds first. If it burns your hand, it will burn their paws. No walks in heat > 85 degrees F. Stay cool, everyone! ☀️🥵
