Congrats to Zach and Boujee on showing up and putting on a show last night! Winning money is good on a young horse, but winning open 2D money on a horse that’s been run less than 10 times his whole life is really good!
What a difference 6 weeks makes! He’s still what I’d call “green” but he’s trotting and loping and happy to be doing it.
Good thing the only requirement about our training program is being willing to try, instead of being clean 😂
While I don’t prefer Arabians, I’ve started quite a few this year! This 3yr old stud colt has been quite enjoyable. He’s smart, willing, and doesn’t forget anything! This is ride 15
#patienceandperseverance
So proud of these two! Put him on the clock for the first time, and he didn’t disappoint! Boujee is 3 years old and is keeping up with 5 and 6 year old horses! He’s gonna be great and Zach is doing such a good job with him!
Watch out people! This colt is ready to futurity! A lot of people know we start colts, but we also like finishing them! Jackpot Boujee was sent to us last fall as a 2yr old to start and sell, but we liked him so much we bought him. Zach has spent a lot of time getting this colt going, and his first race is coming up in November! Every young horse is allowed to have “baby bobbles”, and this horse is no exception. He’ll have great days, and then have baby days, but I’m getting really excited to watch him compete!
I think we can train a barrel horse!
Rope training I don’t own the music
I Don’t own the music, but come ride with me and I’ll make you and your horse better.
I call this horse Margo-Rita……. She gives you a little false courage and is addicting!
After a long, hot, busy summer we took a few of the horses for some hydro-therapy and soaking time yesterday!
Doctoring
Our last home-raised colt is now 4yrs old with 120 days riding, and is ready to learn life!
