I reckon it’s tough being a show pony. Last night they about drown poor Steel in kisses and a bath. Today, Faith and Zach both showed him and even did a switch-rider show! The good boy won enough ribbons with both of them to bed his stall!
I jumped in on the action with a young horse I’ve been tuning up and filling in some holes in her training for 30 days and we managed to get a few ribbons before we dropped her back off to her owner! It was a fun, relaxing day! Zach Paul Rachel Folger

I’m not sure how we could get anything done around here without the ever-supervising head dog in charge! WienerBean is her name and she has been known to drive tractors amd climb on a few c**ts if we’re not riding to her standards! 😂 Every cowboy needs a wiener dog because the song says “get a long little doggy”.

It’s a long post, but please read it!

Horses can sense intent, they can sense love, sadness, joy, fear, all of it! When you look into their eyes, they’ll look into your soul! That’s what happened here with these girls and their horses and I’m here to testify that a connection was made that I don’t fully understand.
In my line of work, it’s rare to see a horse that hasn’t had at least 3 owners, and likely will have at least 3 more throughout its life. But watching these girls with these horses has made me take a moment and rethink/reevaluate a few things: I can train a horse without forming a bond with it….. as a trainer/c**t starter, it’s my job to give them a good foundation and prepare them to learn and grow with the next person who holds the reins. I can only do my part, send them on their way, and hope they end up with someone who will love and care for them as I did. However even with my own personal horses, I rarely take the time to bond and connect with them like I should……it doesn’t require any extra work on my part to just stand there and pet them and spend a few quiet moments just existing with them.
I appreciate if you read all the way through this long post, and would like to encourage you to be like these girls and love your horses!

Roany’s starting to figure out that it’s alright to ride outside and not be an idiot……. Especially when the grass is so tall, you don’t have to bend down!
