Vermont Paws & Boots was established to assist our Military Veterans & First Responders who have sustained various disabilities through their service to our country and communites. Vermont Paws & Boots partners rescue dogs with individuals in need and trains them to work as a team. Creating a bond between these two allows for both to once again thrive. y Veteran with over 30 years of Police experience including 11 years as an award winning K-9 handler/instructor. Michelle has just recently retired from the State of Vermont after serving 22 years as a State Trooper. Due to her passion for working dogs and those who serve she saw a need for a program such as this to exist in Vermont. Vermont historically has the most deployed military personnel and fallen veterans per capita. National studies have also shown that Police officers and Firefighters can be equally affected by the trauma they are exposed to on a daily basis. Michelle recognized this situation and used her training and experience as an opportunity to fulfill her passion assisting Veterans, First responders, and canines.

So please, no matter how hard a moment in your life seems, stay the course and never give up on your mission or your dreams. 🐾🇺🇸🐕‍🦺💙

Despite 4 Town wide events planned today ~ we had a steady flow of people at our tag sale. Thank you to everyone who came not only to see our progress, volunteer to work, but most importantly to purchase items so we can continue our mission. Together as a community, we are always stronger. 🐾🐕‍🦺🇺🇸
