As promised, our next pairings 💕
Thistle and Loki overwhelmingly won the vote, so no brainer there, and Pansy and Henry were already planned, but I decided instead of 2 Henry litters, I’d try out Perry with Stitch. Something about those two is telling my gut to pair them and even if we just end up with blacks/black otters, those kits should be STUNNING.

31 day due date is December 16th❤️❤️

As a side note, little Finn is still hanging in there. Still not interested in eating much but was out chasing his siblings for their free roam time today, which is a huge leap from what he was yesterday ❤️‍🩹

Such a bittersweet day. We lost sweet Autumn (chocolate harli doe) to enteritis and Finn has been showing signs of discomfort. Normally I’d immediately suspect my feed, but every other baby (and adult) I have on it are doing fine. Puzzle is also still nursing her babies so I don’t think it’s standard weaning enteritis. Finn and Autumn were always my trouble makers and I’d often find them under the couch or squeezing into tight places they shouldn’t be, so I’m thinking they found a long lost snack of my kids and that’s what’s made them sick. Probiotics, electrolytes, and oats are being added to the babies diets as a precaution and Finn is getting some appetite restore and critical care to try and pull him through the tummy ache.
Raising any animal isn’t for everyone. I held Autumn as she passed and bawled for god only knows how long. Every loss I take personally and feel deeply. I put endless amount of time, energy, and love into my babies and losing them this far along stings.
We had some successful breedings this evening but I’ll talk about them some other time. Hoping for better days tomorrow ❤️‍🩹

Through no fault of their own, Luka and Willow will be coming back to us next week ❤️‍🩹 these two sweet bonded buns have been incredibly loved and spoiled by their family, unfortunately their dog has gotten too interested in them and made it a potentially unsafe situation for the bunnies.
Luka is neutered and had a bought with EC awhile back which has caused a head tilt. He has a clean bill of health now, but will more than likely always have a slight tilt to his head. This does not bother him or his day to day life, just a special quirk he now has.
Willow is still intact and is very closely bonded with Luka so they must go together!

So here’s me looking stupid and posting Binx for the 5th time 🫣 I really really don’t want to let this little guy go, he was born here and has always been a favorite, but with taking on a new breed and wanting to free cage space up for MPLs, he just doesn’t fit in anywhere with my remaining herd 😭 I won’t mix white ear with Vienna or mix it with magpie as I feel like the combination of them together takes away from each other.
He can stay as long as he needs. I will always make a space for him if I need to, but if he can be used in a rabbitry like mine that is in home with lots of one on one time (or be a spoiled p.e.t) he would thrive ❤️‍🩹

He is a sprayer, fair warning 😅
He is a chocolate, harli, and possibly dilute carrier. Extremely friendly and always wants to be uunderfoot when he’s out.

We have a very kissy litter with our mini plush lops 🥰
While I breed some show bunnies, I’m not blind to the fact that a large majority of my bunnies will end up in a p.e.t home, especially since I avoid hard culling if at all possible. So having well socialized bunnies who enjoy spending time with their humans has been one of the major focuses of my program since I started.
Babies are handled from day one and my kiddos and I spend at least an hour a day holding and loving on them as soon as they’re ready to run around and play, I’ve found this also helps give their mamas a break so that they’ll (hopefully) tolerate them nursing and staying with her for longer. Our babies get exposure to our 1.5 & 3 year old, our dogs, our cat, household noise, and just about anything else that goes on in a home.
As I get into second and third generation babies of my lines, it’s such a joy to see how their temperaments have continued to be more outgoing and social with myself and my family. On top of that, getting updates and seeing our former bunnies thrive with their families makes all the challenges that come along with breeding worth it 🥰❤️

Since there’s been so much interest in these babies I’m considering opening reservations early. As always our previous adopters get first pick so if you’re thinking of adding a second bunny please reach out 🥰
