Update on our mini plush babies 🥰

Were definitely deep in our uglies atm and everyone though they were too good to pose for me but Blair and Salem will be retained, and I’m hoping to pair them with some of my nicely typed hollands to start bringing in more bone and shorten up ears. If i had the space Poe would be staying as well but i dont need another buck 😭

All 3 of these girls are descendants of my Poppy girl. It’s insane to me to look at them and realize I held each of them as a newborn, and that they’ve never known anything other than our house (and shows) and love ❤️ it’s so exciting to look towards the future seeing the progress we’re making (peep updates pics of miss Maple)

They’re not posed as getting one to hold a pose for longer than it takes to snap a picture is hard enough 🫠 plus Posey and Diamond are rocking the mom bods now 😂

Welcoming miss Pansy’s babies 🤎 she also took in Perry’s two, this way our little broken otter baby will have siblings to keep them warm.
We do have 3 peanuts total between Perry and Pansy, I always give them a little extra love as I don’t know how long they’ll stay with us.
Pansy is the most amazing mama to the babies and I’m so grateful the birthing nightmare of this round of litters seems to be over. All our next mamas are experienced with at least 2 previous litters for me so (knock on wood) they should be easy sailing compared to this time.

After a very (and thankfully) uneventful birth, Pansy welcomed 5 little babes into the world ❤️ 2 are peanuts unfortunately but she also gave me 2 chocolates and a black 🤎
Thank god she takes after her mama and grandma and is a natural mama. My heart needed it after the week we’ve had ❤️‍🩹
Her mama was bred yesterday so it will be so fun to see Posey raising kits alongside her daughter ❤️
Now…to get a few hours sleep 😴

Another hard day of babies. Perry ended up having 3 babies, one peanut, one normal kit, and one massive streched kit. Thankfully the prior two came first otherwise we may have been looking at a total loss again.
I’m so grateful for our little broken baby being alive and healthy. Pictures below, last ones will be of the streched kit so please use your discretion when viewing.
I’ve often been bad about only sharing the good that happens when raising bunnies, but this situation is a very real possibility with every litter we have, I’ve just been extremely lucky that this is the first time in the almost 3 years of bunnies that I’ve taken this hard of a loss.
Pansy is holding hostages so hopefully we’ll have a whole litter of healthy babies to share tomorrow.
Otherwise, Aster and Posey have been bred for January babies. Two of my absolute best mamas.

We had babies this morning, unfortunately miss Thistle had a stretched kit get stuck and had a very hard delivery. She is doing great now, but I was only able to save one of her babies ❤️‍🩹 she’s been a great mama to that little one, pulling fur, feeding, and cleaning them off. She’ll take a nice long break and we’ll try again sometime next year ❤️‍🩹
I did learn that Thistle is in fact a false dwarf as one of the stillborn babies was a peanut. So while this litter was heartbreaking, I’m now armed with more information for her next.
