Meet the Himalayan herd! 🤎
We got a very exciting new addition yesterday from Shy Moscato Rabbitry! Wimann’s Muichiro is a GC Sr. Blue buck and I just love how big and boxy his head is compared to my other bucks! He will be paired with Mist once his quarantine period is up 🥰
Also decided to hold back 2 of Turtle and Marlow’s kits to grow out, Flurry (chocolate buck) and Frostie (lilac doe).
With my reduction in hollands I have more wiggle room to expand my himi project and I’m so excited to dig into another showable breed/color. Marlow and Mai both got great comments at our last show and I’m so excited to see what our new herd members will do for us!❤️

Just a boy and his bunny 🥰
Milo was recently neutered and has been on more cage rest than he likes. So when we went to drop a bunny off today, my 3yo insisted that we bring Milo along so he wouldn’t be lonely 😂❤️
I definitely didn’t NEED another bunny, but getting mister Milo has been one of the best bunny decisions. he adores the boys and is always giving kisses and looking for scratches❤️🥰

3 generations of my mini rex lines, and the sweet little REW doe that started it all ❤️‍🩹
Posey and Pansy looking so much alike is such a treat for me, because it gives me so much insight into what my lines are doing. Consistency means easier evaluations and knowing what to look for to complement my lines. Pansy is expecting her first litter Mid December and I can’t wait to see 3 generations of selfs lined up side by side❤️
Maple is out of Posey’s other keeper daughter Diamond and I’m just loving the b***y on her! Long shoulders has been a constant flaw hanging over my herd and the new blood I’ve brought in will hopefully fix it 🤞🏻
The rest of the pictures are pictures of my Poppy girl ❤️‍🩹 there’s some rabbits you’ll never get over loosing and that’s Poppy for me. I’d had her from 10 weeks and she was the funniest, most loving bunny I’ve ever had. she gave me 2 beautiful litters, of which I was stupid and only kept Posey (baby posey is pictured with her mama❤️). Had I known our time together would be so short I would’ve kept every single baby she gave me. I still to this day don’t know what took her, she was fine at night checks, and gone in the morning, with no obvious signs of distress, pain, stasis, etc., but the impact shes had on my rabbitry will live on forever in our lines. Until we meet again my sweet Poppy girl ❤️‍🩹

She has the wrong eye color for dilute (she has brown eyes not grey/blue) and has a very light undercoat color.

The bun who caused all the drama last week. Miss Puzzle is finally eating pellets and hay as usual. Even ran up to greet me for greens this morning. ❤️‍🩹
Definitely feeling like the calm after the storm today, it was a hasty move to say I’m getting out of hollands but Puzzle has been the center of my magpie program for almost a year now and it feels weird moving forward (potentially) without her.
As for now reducing my hollands feels like the right move and I think I’ll be scaling back on my mini plushies as well (as much as I don’t want to 😭)
