Rescues are inundated with Bernese and Bernese Mixes, that have been dumped by the Amish Puppy Mills. Why you ask? Because during COVID everybody wanted a puppy. Now puppies are not selling. Over 100 dogs from 15 weeks to 6 years old are in rescue right now! There are 20 more going to Auction this weekend. Do you want a Bernese? Consider Fostering, Adoption through rescue. Do you like to drive? think about helping to transport dogs. Fill out an application today!

BARC just learned that in the next week, we'll have 20-35 new dogs that need our help joining the BARC family. 💔🐾

We NEED more volunteers; fosters & transporters every where (but, with focus on Michigan, Ohio, & Pennsylvania)! With more incoming dogs than ever, we can NOT do this with out you. BARC is a team & teamwork makes the dream work. ❤️ It's these dog's dreams to have happy loving forever families, finally.

Our team is working tirelessly on trying to move & place dogs, providing them with a better forever. We can't turn them away because we have no one to drive them or any where for them to go. We HAVE to recruit. 😢 You're part of the BARC team, but it's time to get off the bench. We know life gets busy... but, the dogs need you. BARC needs you.

🚗 Transport: driving the dogs in your vehicle from one location to another. (Dogs may be fearful, flight risks, or not groomed)

🏠 Foster: "dog sitting" in your home until we find their forever family. You're a key element in showing them what love is. We do vetting, learn about their personality, & what their needs are; so, we can place them in their ideal environment. Length of stay varies on the dog (2 weeks - 2 months). Please, keep in mind that some dogs could be extremely fearful & have not had much human interaction. It is *not* like dog sitting for a friend's dog.. however, it is SO rewarding. ❤️ We do occasionally have "foster fails", in which the foster family is given the opportunity to adopt because they can't imagine life without them anymore! ❤️

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUCEMENT:
Please remember most dogs DO NOT like fireworks and it is probably best to keep them secure in the house during tonights activities.

We are seeing alot of post on social media about people and their dogs heading up north for the rest of the week.

Please make sure you keep your dogs on leash in an unfamiliar location and they have proper identification attached to their collar while on vacation. We also recommend making sure your pets microchip contact information has up to date information.

Remember a lost dog can happen to anyone no matter how well trained the dog is.

Good morning Steve I’m trying to help a friend out he has 2 little dogs both under a year old that need to be re homed due to the fact the landlord will not allow them at his apartment both have had they’re shots and paperwork the trouble is they are attached to one another “best buds” so they would need to be re homed together! They are great with other animals as well as children. If you could please help him out it would be greatly appreciate as he doesn’t want to just give them away to any one.

They aren’t fixed no, the black ones name is princess and the tan one is Rowland.
