Hey everybody! As summer is approaching and we inevitably start getting busier I wanted to take a minute to tell everyone we appreciate all of the potential clients you all refer to us and I just wanted to let you all know so you can let them know that when reaching out to us even calls are usually answered by us by text message. We understand some people want to have the phone conversation before bringing their pets but with the sheer number of phone calls we would have to make in a day it just wouldn’t be sustainable so it’s much easier for us to answer by text or Facebook messenger. Along with that we inevitably need a picture of any potential clients dog anyway so we find it’s easier to respond by text than by phone call so I just wanted to explain that to everybody today! Here’s a video of my chickens just cuz.

It’s shedding time! If you have a dog with a heavy shedding coat now is the time to get ahead of it for summer, dogs shed year round but most breeds shed heavier when transitioning between cold and hot weather, this is to allow either their winter coat to grow in or for their summer coat to grow in depending on which season we are transitioning to. Regular brushing helps aid your dog in removing the old coat keeping them comfortable during the process of their coat change. Regular grooming is also essential this time of year to prevent packed and matted coats and to prevent dry skin issues.

We use an Enzymatic toothpaste, which pretty much means as long as it gets in your dog’s mouth, it’ll do it’s job. (We got lucky here, but we know most dogs won’t stay very still for teeth cleaning 😂) Followed up with a breath spray which is important to have at home for daily use! While in college I started working at my local pet store as just a means of paying my way through college, however after 6 months I expressed interest in their dog grooming salon and quickly completed the training becoming a senior groomer. Once my skill level increased I quickly realized working as a groomer was not enough I wanted to offer my personal touch on the grooming industry, and that’s how I came up with Dave’s Dog Grooming. I quickly set up shop from my life long home in Bensalem offering both pet sitting and grooming not only of dogs but cats as well incorporating my own excitement for dogs and cats into my business and to my clients as well. After a couple years the business has evolved and I’ve developed the perfect balance between comfort and safety for all the pets in my care. This really has become my dream job!
