Roo and piglet still need to find their furever homes! They are available to be fostered (foster to adopt) so we can get them out of the shelter! These girls are a bonded pair. They originally came from a large hoard and were still puppies. They are about a year old now. They did not know human affection till they came to the shelter. Now thanks to our volunteers and staff, they have come so far. Piglet loves to run around and play, roo is a little more shy and reserved but boy does she love her treats! They are both working on leash walking right now and are doing amazing!! These girls like to do things on their own terms so they need someone who will be patient with them and not rush the adjustment process. Come meet roo and piglet!

Thank you to all the pet parents last night for your patience and kindness. We all had a very late night picking up animals from surgery. And a big thank you for the donations as well.

Don’t forget we are still doing our spay and neuter grant program at the shelter. Just come on down and fill out an application!

Just letting everyone know Ottis has been adopted!! Thank you to his adopters for coming in so quickly to give him a second chance!

Ottis is still at the shelter! He is a shy but super sweet boy once he gets to know you. He’s pretty scared being at the shelter and needs to get out and spread his wings. He is available to be fostered (foster to adopt) because he is just not thriving in a loud, high stress environment (I mean who would). He loves having other dogs to keep him company and play with (he is still a puppy at heart) and needs someone who can be home with him frequently. We request that you know or are willing to bring him to some confidence training classes as he just needs a little extra help breaking out of his shell. Come meet Ottis!

Another good news update! We want to thank all of our amazing volunteers for working with these dogs and cats to get them out of the shelter in a timely fashion and into their furever homes. And thank you to all the adopters for giving these animals a second chance and welcoming them into your homes with loving arms, it’s all they could ever ask for. Our most recent honorable mentions are pictured, along with many more who have been adopted this past month or two. We would like to thank the community for your continuous support whether that be volunteering, donations, adopting, or sharing our posts, any little bit helps!

We have puppies available now. They will be ready for their new homes next week. They are approximately 3-4 months old. They have had their first set of shots and will have a microchip. They also will be spayed and neutered. Their adoption fee is $55. We are open from 10-4pm M-F.

Buffy update!! She is doing better, today she was released from Desert Cross vet. The x-rays showed some fractures to her neck but will heal with rest and some medication. She is one lucky pup. Good news is her person that helped save her is going to adopt her.

We were able to be part of an amazing day today. We are unloading animals from CA that had been in the recent fire stricken area. We assisted in unloading animals from a shelter in CA. It's so awesome to see agencies come together to help.

Adopted!!! Mozart is still with us and what you see is a stress pant. This poor guy is just not doing well at the shelter. Mozart walks great on a leash with another dog and is such a love. He was just in a play group today with 4 other little dogs. Mozart can get jealous over his person and let out a little growl to other dogs, but he is easily corrected. He is getting so much better! I really like hanging out with this guy. Please come meet Mozart!

ADOPTED 11/1 Please help and share Willow! This little lady was just surrendered to us due to an unforseen family emergency. She is terrified in the shelter. Willow is a 5 year old chihuahua. She has lived in the same home since she was a puppy. She lived in the home with one person. She must go to a home with older children, preferably over 12, and a fenced yard. A quitier home would be best since that is what she is used to. Willow will need time in her new home as she is very confused. Let's help Willow get out quickly so she doesn't have to be with us long. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and is ready to go. LOCATED IN Benson, Az.

ADOPTED 10/7 Please adopt Demi! This little lady is so scared here that she does not come out of her bed. When she is out for play time, she just hides in the corner. She has been here awhile, and this is just not good for her to keep doing. She is such a sweetheart and will cuddle up in your neck. She is fine with other cats. Let's help this girl get out and into a loving home🩷.Adopted

ADOPTED!! Meet Parker! This handsome guy is a 2year old boxer. He will be arriving at our shelter on Tuesday, but we would love to see him find an amazing home, so he's not with us for too long. Due to an emergency situation, Parker needs to find another person who will love him just as much as his last home! Parker loves to have a buddy to play with, is house broke, and enjoys his walks. Cats are unknown. He is only 2, so he still has puppy energy, but is such a sweetheart! Let's help Parker find his forever home!💙 So glad we can help out with this guy!

We still have two little ladies left from the Hoarding situation! They will need a patient home. They are still very scared but sure had fun outside! A shelter is a hard place to gain these girl's trust. Let's help them find their homes🩷

UPDATE, ADOPTED AND GOING TO LIVE WITH HER SISTER!! This is Hazel! She is a border collie/ cattle dog cross, about 3 months old. She came back to us after the foster to adopt didn't work out. She is a smart little gal who is so darn cute! She MUST go to a working or active home with a yard. She is already learning basic commands and is potty trained. Come meet Hazel🩵

UPDATE!! CHUCK WAS ADOPTED!! "Chuck" loves being outdoors! His excitement is heart warming. Come meet chuck!

Chili has been walking great on a leash and is doing very well! She is a calmer gal, but needs her confidence built. There's times when she is unsure of things and will need your help and patience! She visited our cat house and was very well behaved. Chili is around 6 months old, and she is ready for her forever home🩷

ADOPTED!! Thank you everyone for caring! This flock needs a new home where they can forage and have a fresh, clean pool. Yes, even at the shelter we are called out to help other animals in need. You must already be set up for this flock. They must all go together, we can't house them long like this. There are 4 laying hens, a bantam rooster, 3 female ducks and one male. They are gentle and easy to handle. Would love to see these guys get a second chance. There is also a male goose. A donation would be greatly appreciated for this flock to help us, help more animals. They are at the shelter.

Three stray puppies found on East Cowboy way off of Highway 80. They are safe at the shelter.
