Lazy J Bar C Handmade tack, western art and photography Mohair is the lustrous and strong hair of the Angora goat and is a traditional fiber for cinches.

100% Mohair cinches and breast collars proudly handmade in Cochise County, Arizona utilizing Mohair manufactured in the USA. It's strong, it breathes and it wicks moisture away from the horse; whereas, wool is a natural fiber but holds the moisture in rather than absorbing it and acrylic fibers don't breath. Cinch tying and weaving is an old traditional cowboy art ... handmade quality gear. Each c

inch is a functional and comfortable piece of 'wearable art' for the horse. Mohair fiber offers an optimum combination of strength and softness ideal for the comfort of your horse and will not shrink like wool. Mohair is very durable and will not damage from twisting and bending. It is the most durable of animal fibers. Mohair absorbs moisture away from the horse and cleans easily with simple rinsing. Mohair 'breathes' where man made materials do not. Horses seem to like the smell! Shaking or brushing easily removes dust and dirt from a Mohair cinch. If the cinch becomes dirty due to absorbed sweat and dirt, simply rinse it with a hose or a bucket of clean water until the water runs clear. Always rinse from the front of the cinch to the belly side of the cinch which is where the sweat and dirt were absorbed. If the outside is muddy just hang and hose gently.
