My newest black mottled c**k bird. He finally had his own ladies!! He was a test hatch between a recessive white c**k bird with a black hen-----apparently they both had the mottling gene.

Rockin' Reds in a Row on this Monday morning..............red hot!

It was almost 100 degrees yesterday! It will be a hot one this week too! No live bird shipments this week. Next week looks better but it will change a million times before we get there.

I hope to sort birds this week. I have some growouts that are ready to go! I will post them on my time and not your's 😉 please be patient and be kind! I work a full-time job and have 3 kids under the age of 12 and a horrible neck/spine....enough said-lol. I am doing the best that I can, just like every other mother/woman/caretaker out there. My medical crap is a full-time job and it is depressing at times. Thank God for sunshine and Silkies!

I will return to Nashville, TN on 10/1/2025 for my last injection of sugar water in my tailbone.....yes, it is a real thing and the insurance company is making me do it before my next step in treatment. Prolotherapy-google it-crazy!

I took the day off to fish and spend time with family! I caught 7 fish! 2 catfish, a bluegill, and the remainder bass! I did work in the coop today----there is never a day off with my birds *******but that is okay! Love my time with them too!

I hope everyone had a fabulous day! You deserve it! I had some sun-therapy. It was much needed!

I fired my doctor/surgeon on Friday and it was the best decision ever. A good friend told me to get a back/spine doctor that I trust....so now I am on the hunt! Who has a good one near Western Kentucky?!?! Willing to travel for a good neurosurgeon. If one exists....

Eggs and chicks are sold-out! I am hatching the week of 9/22, but I may keep them......the struggle is real!

Tip of the day*******take time for yourself and your family. Every day is precious and we have seen this week.
