Big B***y Judy! She's 16-17yr old belgian mare.
Pros:
Bombproof. Rides and drives, trails and in town. Built like a tank, a beautiful one! Sweet, can catch anywhere, good with other horses. Can trick ride on her, she will tolerate virtually any way you want to waller on her. Shapey and the vet says her baby factory is great as well. Has had foals before. (Put a 2yr old stud in with her, but he didn't understand the assignment yet 🙃)
Stands for regular farrier without stocks, picks up feet. Loads, stands tied, great with the hose. Would rather walk, virtually always. She's 100% that big husband horse when he thinks he needs something 'big', but probably is just gonna ride a handful of times a year and needs it to be safe. Can go literal years and still be a rockstar when you pull her out. She is soft in the mouth, but doesn't understand neck reining, just guide her where ya wanna go.
Cons:
One eye doesn't work. It's been that way for at least half her life, maybe longer, and it doesn't bother her/she's not spooky at all.
She's tender in front without shoes.
She has been turned out all but a week of rodeo bible camp, and I wouldn't say she's sound for heavy use until she's shod consistently. Trail riding? Should be absolutely fine.
Last con- we need moolah for hay for the winter, which is why she's available. Negotiable to a great home. See last pic
