Zech Endsley got to help another lost snake out of someone's house today.

This boy is a racer who got released in some nearby fields to continue doing what he is meant to do: eat the pests in the area. We also helped in identifying any areas where the snake may have snuck in, and ways to make the home less inviting to mice, the main reason snakes enter a home.

We are always happy to help anyone who needs a snake removed from their home. You just have to let us know!

So a few months ago I bought a pair of Apalachicola Kings. Adult pair, in the middle of brumation. I never checked their sexes because they came from a trusted source. I just labeled their tubs as they were labeled on the delis. The male was on the hefty side so I had been feeding lightly and the female was a bit small so I was feeding heavy.

I had been palpating the female to check follicle/egg development and not feeling anything. Had kinda given up hope on getting a clutch from them this year. Well today I check animals and the “male” is sitting on 14 eggs. I guess I should have double checked them but at least it’s still a pair 😂.

Very bad lighting but this is the defensive behavior of the Southern Brown Egg Eating Snake. These guys have no teeth to use a defense.

This is Spike, our veiled chameleon. She loves being hand-fed.

Short video that I took a few days ago showing tail shaking behavior of a California King Snake. This just shows that if you find a snake that is rattling it may not be a Rattlesnake. That being said you should never handle or catch a snake that you cannot properly identify. Please share this may save the life of a harmless animal.
