A very Mew-y Christmas from Mew! 2024 was challenging, but we ultimately had a great year and we are very blessed because of this amazing community. Thanks to each and every one of you who read our posts, share and react to them and reach out to offer help. Is there someone out there that can help make Opals Christmas wish come true?

Miss Opal is being a bit overlooked for adoption and she is speaking up about it.

Opal has FIV which is a much understood disease in cats. It is NOT transmissible by normal cat interaction, only from severe deep bite wounds, which is behavior that only non neutered males would exhibit. Cats with FIV live long normal lives. They do need to be kept strictly indoors, to keep them safe from getting things like infections that would be harder for them to fight off. They need to get to a vet quicker than other cats might need to for illness if it develops.

We had a call this morning from someone who is homeless and living in an encampment taking care of 4 kittens and a mamma. We need to take this little family of cats into a foster home. Does anyone have the Christmas spirit? We’ve only seen one but believe we have some Maine coone mixes here with long fluffy hair.

Four kittens were found in a cardboard Amazon box, abandoned at the Bentonville dog park this afternoon. The little runt starting screaming when we opened a can of food. Overall they look good and we dont think they were out there for too long. We need a foster for these babies if anyone wants kittens for Thanksgiving break ❤️🐾 #ItsLikeaMeowButaMew #AdoptaMewCat #NWAcats

🔥 Smokey Update 🔥 We are so proud of Smokey and elated to post this update. Smokey is becoming the cat we all knew he could be. Look at this baby playing - it can't get much better than this. Thanks to his foster Tiffany Griggs and all the love and support from NWA! We officially stopped wrapping his feet 2 days ago. They are healing perfectly. He is still really tender, but he plays and jumps around now on a fluffy rug. He lost all of his toenails on both back feet and all the toes are webbed together on each foot. His front feet, he has a couple of webbed toes and a missing nail, but otherwise normal. He is also off all the pain meds and gaining weight quickly. He still LOVES his incubator; still sleeps and eats (his super high protein blend that is made special for him) in it. He's still having a bowel issue (notice the diaper), but we have some meds coming in to hopefully get this better. He is doing so well. He is playing now and loves his fosters other cats, and acting more like a kitten every day!

Meet Little Miss Chloe. She is at the ER since late last night fighting off pneumonia. Say a little prayer for her. She made it through the night so we are hopeful she will push through this, and she is stable this morning.
