Because microchipping is a quicker and easier method to reunite pets with owners, the city has removed the licensing requirement and established a microchipping ordinance. Per Section 6-21, the City of Bentonville requires all dogs and cats, over four months of age, to have the following:
• Microchip implanted in the animal and microchip number registered with Bentonville Animal Services within 30 days; and
• A rabies vaccination and certificate, not to expire in the next 90 days.
Fees & Purchasing
• Bentonville Animal Services will microchip any pet for $10 per pet and register said pet in the national database, as well as the city system.
• If your pet is already microchipped, we can register it in the city system at no cost.

Cold Weather Alert for Our Furry Friends!

As temperatures drop, it’s important to remember that our pets feel the cold just like we do! ❄️ Dogs, especially those spending time outdoors, need proper care and protection. Make sure your pets have a warm, dry shelter, plenty of bedding, and access to fresh, unfrozen water.

Outdoor animals must have adequate shelter to protect them from the elements. Let’s keep our four-legged family members safe and cozy during these times!

🎉🐾 A Heartwarming Farewell: Kasanova Finds His Forever Home!🐾🎉

Our oldest resident at 10 years old, sweet Kasanova, has finally found his forever family! ❤️🐕 This special boy stole all of our hearts, and we couldn’t be happier to see him start this new chapter surrounded by love and care.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Kasanova’s journey—your kindness helped make this moment possible. Here’s to many happy days ahead for this amazing pup and his new family! 🏡✨

This pup was reported to have been found at SW Walton and NW 7th in Bentonville last week. If you know who it belongs to please contact Bentonville Animal Services at 479-519-1726. The people who found the pup are looking to reunite it, if possible.

A local family needs help rehoming these two handsome pups (Bodhi & Utah). They are a Pyrenees/ Lab mix. The age on both is estimated to be 2-3 years. The are described as being house trained. They get along with one another and they are social with other dogs and cats. They are both neutered and vaccinated. Family illness has led to the need to rehome these guys, please contact Liza at 479-295-1922 if you think you can help.

One of our wonderful adoption families treated Clarabelle and Dundee to some early Christmas treats. It was a sweet experience to share in. Clarabelle and Dundee were pretty excited to say the least.
