I see a lot of posts lately about how we shouldn’t be asking for a deposit to hold a puppy and if we do you should run! 🤔 I just want to say that I do require a deposit to hold a puppy, and I do not allow anyone to come to my house to pick one out. I will gladly meet if the puppy is old enough, or facetime. That is for my dogs, puppies and my families safety. This does not mean I’m a scammer. I will give referrals of other puppy parents and my vet. I understand there are scammers out there and we’re trying to keep from being scammed ourselves. Too many times I’ve done the no deposit thing until one after another, the person would back out when it was time for there puppy to go home. Most of the time we lose our money because your puppy could’ve had a home over and over but we saved it for you and now because you backed out that means another vaccine, worming and vet exam along with extra food we will have due to you changing your mind. So see… we get scammed too!! A deposit is to protect us! If someone is serious about wanting the puppy they will have no problem in paying a small deposit. And do not ask if you can take one on a trial basis 🤦🏼♀️ It doesn’t work that way!! I will always do my best to help anyone that asks but these babies are the world to me as they should be to you.
