Master dog obedience training with Jim’s comprehensive programs in Berea, KY. Transform your pet’s behavior, foster rewarding relationships, and relish the joy of owning a well-behaved dog. Suitable for pups or older dogs – it’s never too late to start.
🐶😸 If you are celebrating Thanksgiving today, please be mindful of your pet’s safety. We generally recommend to be careful and just not give people food to your pets as even if it is generally a safe food, the added salt and spices are not good for your pet. Pancreatitis is one of the leading holiday emergencies in pets. But if you sneak your dog a bite of human food, check this food list, and other lists, first. We hope you have a wonderful and safe day!!

This pretty girl is Scarlett. She is doing wonderfully and will go home from her Board and Train on Friday. This is the third dog I have trained for this family. After they pick Scarlett up, they will be returning on a weekly basis to do six follow up classes, although the owners are already both very experienced trainers themselves! Good girl, Scarlett!

Although it’s never too late to start, the earlier obedience training begins, the better. As soon as your new pup comes into your home, you can begin working with him/her and typical puppy behaviors such as nipping, chewing, and jumping up can easily be corrected before they become problematic.
Jim offers three types of basic obedience training. New dog owners can receive valuable guidance and useful tips through our Puppy Program. Designed for pups up to eighteen weeks of age, Jim’s expert advice and problem-solving will help to ensure that you and your dog get off to a positive start.
For dogs eighteen weeks or older, the in-kennel Train and Board Program offers the best results in the shortest amount of time. During a three week stay here at our kennels, your dog will learn the basic obedience commands: come, sit down, stay, and heel. Then after your dog has completed this program, you will both return for six follow-up classes. An essential part of your dog’s training, Jim will teach you how to successfully execute all of the basic obedience commands your dog has learned.
Jim also offers private, individual instruction. During these hour-long sessions, he will demonstrate his best practices and teach you how to instill all of the basic obedience commands. Private classes can be scheduled Monday through Saturday.
