I want to give a big shout out and thanks to our wonderful community and the Tri-State area for being so receptive and supportive to Paws Claws & Stalls Pet Lodge.

We’re just about to cross the two-year mark since starting this wild journey and still enjoy the challenges and rewards every day.

The pet lodge started because I have two great loves: my family and animals. Training and working as a vet tech years ago and living on a small hobby farm have instilled a desire to work with animals on a regular basis and after Covid it seemed the perfect opportunity.

I’ve had the chance to work with dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and even board parakeets. My kids are able to assist by spending time with the animals and giving them lots of snuggles and ball time. Sometimes, they just hang out with me and play in the stalls.

Continuing with the basic concept of running a small, cozy lodge, we can provide the fur babies with the care and attention you’d expect your animals to get.
After boarding our dogs for a few days years ago and having such a terrible experience, I was determined to be different. We want your pets to love it here as much as we do.

In the two years since opening, we’ve had two wonderful groomers join our team (Amanda & Jen) and also hired Sharon to give extra special attention to all the fur babies.

If you have pets that need boarding, grooming or daycare, give us a call to schedule a meet-n-greet, or even a meet-n-sniff!

References are plentiful and available upon request.

Once again, your support is greatly appreciated and we thank you.

2017! What a difference in 8 years … we had 60 degree weather today so it’s funny to look back on the snow.

Did you know that if you have a pacemaker, you can include it in your Will to be donated to a dog in need after you pass away?
Although pacemakers cannot be used for another human, they can help dogs with heart problems and potentially save their lives. You can arrange for the pacemaker to be sent to a vet of your choice. Many pacemakers are simply thrown away, and dogs may die because people do not know about this option. Donating the pacemaker can even save the dog's owner the cost of a new one, which can sometimes make a crucial difference in affording life-saving treatment.
How to donate? Update your will: Leave instructions to have your pacemaker removed and sent to a veterinary clinic of your choice
Ask your doctor to save the pacemaker: When your pacemaker is being replaced or upgraded, ask your doctor to save it for donation
Contact your local vet: Confirm that they would be able to use the pacemaker.

THIS FORECAST is for my fellow pet owners! 🐾

(Or just anyone who has to walk on grass. 🤣)

I am cautiously optimistic that the ground may re-freeze (briefly) this weekend.

Enjoy the MUDDY PAW METER! 🥰🐶🐱
