Just spent another afternoon as I’ve done every month for about the past year sorting through tariff bills, filing disputes and following up on refunds.

The good thing is that as a self-manufacturing solopreneur, I have tons of free time to be mired in extra bills and paperwork 🙄

Every.Single.Cost has gone up for us over the past couple years and customers are feeling the pinch too. So much of this is self-inflicted. Tariffs. Iran War. Lost healthcare benefits.

This juxtaposed to the fact that the orange man made $2.2 BILLION last year alone. He made a whopping 327 stock trades ONE day before announcing a pause on tariffs. None of this is hidden. It’s public info in his own filings! Rampant corruption.

And while we’re all busy trying to keep our businesses afloat, ICE continues to tear families apart, attacks on LGBTQ+ people have become political strategy, and women’s rights remain under assault. Cruelty has become their guiding light.

Pezzy has always been political. You can’t work in conservation without talking about public policy. You can’t build ethical supply chains without caring about workers. You can’t support coastal communities around the world without believing that people deserve dignity, opportunity, and a healthy environment.

I didn’t start this company just to sell dog treats. I started it because I believe business can be a force for healthier oceans, stronger communities, and a more just world.
