Stoked to be in Belém, Brazil for COP30! COP is the UN’s global climate conference where world leaders meet to take action on the climate crisis. I was invited to share our experiences with the lionfish in the Caribbean and to meet with the fishing industry and NGOs in Brazil to figure out a way to combat invasive lionfish here.

I still remember when I sold the first 10lbs of devil fish to a restaurant in Mexico in 2014.

I came home and daydreamed about one day becoming a proverbial ghostbuster for invasive species, traveling the world to mitigate environmental problems while strengthening affected communities.

It’s certainly been an adventure and I’m grateful for the invite to share our work at COP30 on a global stage.

Yep, all our treats are made from 100% wild-caught invasive species.

We’ve spent the past year building out our lionfish supply chain and we just removed over 2500 lionfish in Belize this month alone.

But international shipping has become suuuuch a pain. Between tariffs, suspension of the de minimis rule and now the government shutdown, we’re facing added costs and massive delays.

We had one shipment from Mexico spend almost two months in customs. Our latest batch of lionfish took almost a month to get here when it usually takes less than a week. So thank you for your patience and your ongoing support! And grab your lionfish!!

Meet our newest limited edition treat: Ta‘ape!

Ta‘ape (aka bluestripe snapper) was introduced to Hawai‘i in the 1950s and quickly took over local reefs. We’ve teamed up with to turn this invader into a tasty, single ingredient snack your pets will love, while helping restore coral reefs 🌊🐕

The fish has a delicate, mild taste as with most snappers and is a good source of B12 and omega’s. The fishiness scale leans towards lionfish (our fishiest option) and drives Kaya wild!
