And that’s a wrap! 2025 was full of challenges and successes but I wanted to shout out all of you for your amazing support.
Each December I disappear for a few days to reflect on the year and gameplan for the following. Last year I remember setting rather ambitious goals for company growth, new products and supply chain expansion. And as much as the day-to-day felt like an uphill battle this year, it’s wild looking back and seeing that we came pretty darn close to hitting those goals.
One particular point of pride this year was getting several inbounds from different states and even countries to work together on their invasive species problems. I still remember 10 years ago when people in Mexico called me gr**go loco for our devil fish project. Fast forward to 2025 and we were invited to speak at COP30 in Brazil 🤘🏼💅🏼
I started Pezzy as a response to the jarring social and environmental inequality I dealt with while at the UN. Our system is broken. I wanted to harness capitalism for good - by creating a market for invasive species, we could restore the ecosystem, boost local incomes and create unique, healthy snacks that nourish pets all at the same time. We’ve done that and will continue to fight for a better system for all.
And so I’d be remiss if I didn’t also mention that as I write this, masked goons are terrorizing our communities Gestapo-style, millions of Americans are about to lose health coverage and wealth inequality continues to worsen in this country. This administration has decided there’s money for cruelty and billionaire tax breaks but not the well-being of us average Joe’s. It’s incumbent upon all of us to push back.
Big changes will be coming next year. I’m excited for these announcements in January that will take our impact to the next level. Thank you, truly, to all of you that have proven that I’m not just a gr**go loco and that there are tons of us that care about pets, the planet and one another.
