ProHeart, an injectable heartworm disease prevention for dogs, is now available at Campus Veterinary Clinic! 💉

🌟ProHeart 6 is a twice-yearly injectable dose to prevent heartworm disease in dogs 6 months of age and older.
🌟ProHeart 12 is a once a year injectable dose to prevent heartworm disease in dogs 12 months of age and older.
🌟ProHeart also protects against hookworm, a common intestinal parasite.

Puckering up under the mistletoe? Keep it away from your pets. Mistletoe also known as American mistletoe or Phoradendron leucarpum is common decorative plant seen during the holiday season. Mistletoe is consider a toxic plant and best to keep it away from your pet. While small ingestions of berries may lead to mild tummy troubles like vomiting and diarrhea, ingestions of leaves and stems may lead to more significant concerns like depression, tremors and blood diarrhea.

Christmas tree and preservatives: Fortunately, Christmas trees and preservatives are not a serious problems for pets, but we do see a lot of pets get into them. Generally, ingestion of either will lead to tummy upset, so it is still best to try and minimize your pet from getting into them. The preservatives frequently contain sugar, which is likely what gains your pet’s interest.
