Ramona needs you! She was surrendered to our shelter when her owners felt they could no longer care for her. She has been here at BACS since 4/29/23 and really needs to find a permanent place where she can get some rest, relaxation and lots of love. Ramona is a senior, gentle giant who wants nothing more than a soft bed to lay on and a couple short walks a day. She has osteoarthritis and is not planning on entering any marathons in the foreseeable future. She is on pain medications which are helping her quite a bit but she needs a home with few or no stairs. Her idea of the perfect day is a short walk after a light breakfast followed by a day of sunbathing in the backyard. While living at the shelter she has shed a few pounds and is getting closer to a healthy body weight which is helping her feel better. She is the perfect fit for a home with someone looking for quiet company and a gentle, lifelong friend. She doesn’t demand much but will give you plenty of love in return.

We really mean it when we say Kojac is the perfect dog! Kojac is a true sweetheart who loves people and is incredibly loyal. At 6 years old, he still has plenty of energy to hike and play tug, but settles down nicely for cuddles and pets. He is always ready to greet you with a tail wag and would love to follow you around so he can keep you company. He would prefer to be the only dog in the home so he doesn’t have to share the attention, and he’ll shower you with love and cuddles in return. Kojac is great on leash, house trained, and ready to take on any adventure with his newest best friend!

Brutus was tasked with the very difficult job of predicting a #superbowl winner, but he soared (like an eagle) to the occasion! No matter who you’re rooting for, we can all agree that Brutus is a very good boy, and he was thoroughly compensated for his time with treats and pets. Sweet Harley has been patiently waiting since May 2022 for her forever home (yes, MAY, as in 9 months ago!!!). She is a volunteer favorite because of her fun demeanor - you can’t help but laugh and smile when you’re out with Harley! She loves to play with squeaky toys and walks well on leash, with the occasional burst of puppy energy that makes her leap, prance, and dance because she’s so happy to be out. She’s 2 years old, which means she has unfortunately spent almost half her life in a kennel, but that doesn’t stop her from excited tail wags and zoomies in the play yard. She is a perfect pocket pittie for anyone looking for a medium-sized dog, and she is very treat motivated, so training will be a fun and rewarding process for you and Harley! Come meet this adorable girl so Harley can have the loving home she deserves (and so volunteers don’t have to be the recipient of her side eye anymore 😂)

🚨URGENT🚨 Sweet Nerf has been at the shelter since August, and the shelter is trying to get him out ASAP before he gets kennel stressed. Nerf is a happy boy who loves people, tennis balls, treats, and other dogs (but no cats please!). He is a perfect mix of active and couch potato and would be happy to cuddle and watch tv with you after a quick game of fetch or a sniff-filled walk. Nerf loves to give and receive kisses and likes to sit close to his humans but isn’t pushy about it. He already knows sit and down and is treat-motivated, so training would be a great way to bond. Clyde is as sweet as the pumpkin pie you’ve been thinking about all weekend. He adores people and attention despite his previous rough life based on the poor shape he was in when he came to the shelter. Clyde has a slight limp, but that doesn’t stop him from walking, walking, walking - this guy would keep going if we let him! He is reactive in his kennel, but appears mostly interested in dogs when he’s outside, and he may be okay with other dogs with proper introduction. What he would love most is a soft, warm bed with a family who loves him and spoils him as he deserves. Please help us save this sweet boy and head down to the shelter today!
