Start this post with I am a terrible picture taker.
Pups are 5 weeks old now mom is down to a once a day feeding ,she has had enough.
I will keep it at once a day for her til week 6 next Wednesday then she can be done .
Pups are morning and evening feeding and they now have water all day long.

These little one still pretty docile but they are starting to get around on all fours .
They will be 3 week’s Wednesday
Two of the girls are a chunky 4 lbs everyone appears to be doing just fine .
Fubba has not yet gotten tired of them .

Fat sassy and growing 11 days old and now everyone is over 2 lbs.
And their little eyes are starting to open.

Well Fubba has done her part
The puppy count on Monday said 7maybe 8 and sure enough eight pups found their way in to this new world .
She started at 10:50 am and done by 4:00 pm .
I will let her rest a for awhile then get her out clean her box give her a new blanket and let her chill with her new family .
Two boys both spoken for and I will keep a girl back so that leaves 5 girls will be available.

Lots of cool stuff happening here
First off Fubba has a week left to tote those puppies around in her tummy she goes in for a puppy count on Monday.
Due date 11/16/2025
Fubba and Angus should make for some nice pups .
I will obviously keep a pup back just to see for myself if started out right what kind of pups they make.
And next news is I just got back the color test from DDC on
Little SMOKE and Biscuit turns out they are both tri factored .
Anyone that knows me knows I LOVE my chocolates but having a girl that can throw some color and a stud that can cover all three colors as well is a nice thing to have in a breeding program.
Still have a lot of work ahead with these two youngsters in 2025 .
( Hunt test here we come )
We head to Texas in January with hopes of getting Smoke and Biscuit started .
As well It is my plan to get in a few Master test to Qualify
Fubba, Joy , Murf and Angus for the 2025 Master Nationals .
I have 4 judging assignments in the summer of 2025 so that means I have to make every weekend test that I go to run count. .
I do have a couple spots for my Texas trip if you are in need of getting your new pup started or keep your hunt test dog tuned up .
Oh and the Grand is back at B**g in the spring of 25
And the SRS is back in the spring 2025 as well thanks to Leonard Gums

Topper’s little sister (Fubba) MH at 14 months she is also QA2 this is Fubba’s 4th litter her first 3 litter have produce great pups I have kept one out of each litter and they all achieved their MASTER TITLE at under 2 years old .
Both parents have health clearance ON
Hips, elbows, EIC,CNM,DM, EYE CERF .
Pups will carry a 26 month health guarantee .

Well I thought with Angus having now received his first master national plate I should up date his Stud résumé.
Angus has done well in his young start into the retriever games and will continue to so as long as he can .
Junior title clean
Senior title clean
Master title 6 for 7 at under two years old
And he has received Master national plate
His Qual history Six times to line produced
1st place , 3rd and 2 Jams .
Just turned 3 years old Oct 14 2024.
Currently available for stud to approved girls.

Two weeks of hurry up and wait is now behind us .
We had a couple days of rain and slop to deal with once that pushed out and dried a bit it was blue sky for the 5th and final series .
Angus was steady at his task every series he gave me no reason to think it was not going to happen and he did not let me down.
Yet when I stepped to the line on my final series I was anything but calm
Now we sit waiting for our flights turn to recieve our plates.

As to what are my thoughts on the whole MASTER NATIONAL THAT WILL BE ANOTHER POST ONCE I AM HOME.

It has been a wet weekend and a bit of a grind but here we stand with 4 good series in our favor . One quick check down whistle in the second . We are being held back til mid afternoon waiting for our field to become available . When we get there it will be a triple pheasant hunt with a double blind . So if all goes well mid day tomorrow we should have our 5th behind us.

Today’s task was a land water triple with a water blind oh and staying dry as it rained off and on all day.

Angus did very well as he successfully navigated his way through cover and water bird by bird until the field was clean job well done .
And so tomorrow we will be at the tech pond all water series Angus will run very late in the series per the rotation.
