Sandoval County, New Mexico Bambi and Thumper are still here at Sandoval County Animal Services. They are needing a rescue to be transferred out.They both seem to be bonded as the female Thumper follows Bambi.
Bambi learned to use his doggy door. Thumper can go out the doggy door but can’t go back in.
We are a holding facility and currently only have 20 kennels. We are again almost at capacity.

Female shepherd mix was dumped with a male on Saturday the 3rd. We named her Thumper. The male is Bambi. She is also estimated to be around 1-2 years old.
They both came in with very long nails and the female, one of her nails grew into her pad!
Please share and lets get these 2 out of the shelter.
This male shepherd mix came to us Saturday the 3rd along with a female. These 2 have seemed to be dumped due to the front leg deformities they both have.
They both were taken to vet and yes the vet recommended they both have surgeries (multiple). This is will cost alot of money. The vet also said they should also be ok without surgery as long as they have a fitted wheelchair.
The male is very sweet and loves belly rubs. He was estimated to be around 1-2 years old.
We don’t know if they were kept in a crate for the first part of their lives as the vet thought that could be due to the deformities.
They are available for adoption/non profit rescue. Please share so we can get these 2 out of the shelter!

Daisy husky mix is available. She is particular with other dogs. Daisy is about 5+ years. Spayed, chipped and utd on vaccinations.
Rolo black lab mix does good with other dogs. He is about 1 year old. Rolo is neutered, chipped and utd on vaccinations.
Gigi is one of our long term dogs and still in search of her furever, she is spayed, chipped and utd on vaccinations. She almost 2 years old.
Ruby is almost 2 years old, spayed, chipped and utd on vaccinations. She does not do well with small dogs or cats. She loves to play with Gigi!
