Sandoval County, New Mexico

This cute little female pup was found yesterday by a good samaritan. She was found 10miles outside of Cuba area which is part of Sandoval County on highway 550 mile marker 72.

She was found in a pile of trash on the side of the road and she came to us underweight.

Today we were able to place her in a foster home. We hope one of our rescue parntners are able to get her transferred over on Tuesday.

If that doesn’t work out she will be available for adoption or transfer after Sunday.

Sandoval County, New Mexico

Ok NM Community we have thought of a plan but we still need your help. We have found a foster willing to take on Bambi and Thumper BUT she has 2 other fosters she needs to find placement for.

Max has a foster lined up. We need to find a rescue or another foster for Sabrina.

Sabrina is the female cattle mix, black with some white and brown. She is about 1-2 years old. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.

If anyone is willing to take Sabrina the foster can take on these 2 other furbabies.

If you have any questions about Sabrina please message Amanda Lundberg, she currently fostering Sabrina.

Bambi learned to use his doggy door. Thumper can go out the doggy door but can’t go back in.
We are a holding facility and currently only have 20 kennels. We are again almost at capacity.
Please reach out if anyone can foster for a rescue. Lets get them what they need!

Do you recognize me?

This sweet girl was brought to Corrales Fire Department after a delivery truck driver opened the back of his box truck and found her inside. He was very worried for her and picked her up and took her to the fire station. The delivery drive is unaware of when and where she got into his truck, but said he has been in Georgia, Texas, Albuquerque, and Corrales in the last couple of days. She is now safe, warm, and fed here at Corrales Animal Services. She does not have any owner identification so her stray hold is up on 02/09/2024. We believe she is pregnant, so she will be examined by a vet asap. If she is pregnant and not reclaimed she will only be available for transfer to a 501-c3 or remain in Corrales Animal Services care until her babies are weaned and she can be spayed. If you have any information please call us at 505-898-0401. If we do not answer please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as possible.

They both came in with very long nails and the female, one of her nails grew into her pad!

Please share and lets get these 2 out of the shelter.

02/06/2024

They both were taken to vet and yes the vet recommended they both have surgeries (multiple). This is will cost alot of money. The vet also said they should also be ok without surgery as long as they have a fitted wheelchair.

The male is very sweet and loves belly rubs. He was estimated to be around 1-2 years old.

We don’t know if they were kept in a crate for the first part of their lives as the vet thought that could be due to the deformities.

They are available for adoption/non profit rescue. Please share so we can get these 2 out of the shelter!

Female will be posted in another post.
