Effie is always on guard duty….. life without geese is no life. Effie and Gigi are the big guardians and protectors here. They break up the aggressive male ducks when they go after the ladies. They do allow the crows and ravens into the duck area though. The crows are always visiting and nibbling the the offerings.

This was so surreal and I remember it so clearly.
I was opening the gate to the minis and Jersey girl was walking to me with her little girl. The Jersey girls are very trusting but this was just weird. Jersey Girl kept looking at me then her little girl. I bent down and loved on her little girl. I had the intense feeling that she was asking me to watch over and take care of her precious youngster. I could not shake the feeling. Her eyes saw right into me and mine into her, there was no mistake she was asking for my help.
A week or so later I found Jersey Girl dead on the side of the hill. It looked like she slipped and got caught in a position that she could not get out from. Little Pricess just stared.
Princess often stands on the timbers staring down the hill in the direction olwher we found her mom. We often stand together and look down where mom was. This is so strange. Om Tara Tutare Soha please take care of Princess and he young one as i don’t feel capable of this task.
