Sheepskins will be on SALE this Thursday through Christmas! These are unique gifts that are from our flock- we salt and prepare the hides for them to be professionally tanned in Wisconsin by using all natural non-toxic methods with mimosa tree bark. The poultry are ready for winter! Last night we moved them to greenhouses; only done during the night since we do not have coops that can be shut. That means we literally pick up each bird off their roost and trailer them to the greenhouse. It’s our chance to count them- 456 chickens. We also herded the 60 geese and 7 ducks into another greenhouse. They are enjoying the cover crop and fertilizing for greenhouse crops next summer!

It’s potato digging time with our antique piece of equipment we converted from horse drawn to tractor pto. It’s made it almost half way without breaking yet this year, but we hold our breath since it usually needs repairs. It’s doing a good job digging those organic spuds that look great and are yielding fantastic this year! Hope y’all want lots of tasty taters!

Quads! Big brown had quads last night. Figured if I didn’t wear my jacket down for sheep check something would happen. She had them by the hay feeder which wasn’t great and it was very cold so we locked them into the mineral shed with bedding and they are doing great!
