Howdy from Groundhounds.. we need to talk about something uncomfortable.

My puppies are not impulse purchase items. My price maybe out of range of people that haven't researched, or put any consideration what it costs to raise healthy puppies in an clean environment.
I get asked all the time "how much".. it's pretty offensive to me, as how much is it worth to put my life on hold for a year to plan and create a life that should be part of your family for 8 to 15 years ? How much is it worth for me to never have vacation, or always be on call when people have questions?
What is it worth to a pet buyer to know in advance what health issues possibly are bred out of the dog they purchase because we care enough to test the parents?
What is it worth to you to know your puppy comes potty trained, and has been keep clean so it doesn't want to walk in its own potty ?
What's it worth to you the buyer to have a puppy started with vaccines, to prevent deadly parvo or distemper ? Have it seen by a Vet and cleared for parasites before leaving ?
I understand that I maybe the first place your visiting as we have been on Facebook a long time... but take some time to research this breed and the costs and genetic issues your avoiding by buying from a breeder that cares.

And what about AKC ? Sure, you don't want to pay more just because a puppy has a peice of paper.. but that also is a farce. The AKC spends millions of dollars in disease and genetic research every year, some which has crossed over to human health research. They also do inspections, and offer breeders free education.

Please compare before you buy.

Our 2 Available Dachshund puppies. Chile and Moo.
I love to have visitors come help socialize the puppies.
