This went to Wyoming. The owners do working Cowhorse.
They also elk hunt with horses, so they emphasized “no crickets” in this one, only a roller, as the cricket sound carries and scares off the elk. I love this story!!!

I need help from my friends! A very good friend and neighbor unexpectedly passed away last week. She left four dogs that I need to rehome. I had always promised her that if anything happened to her, I would take care of her dogs.
There is a 6 year old spayed female Greyhound. She’s been a house dog most of her life, and is a sweet lover of a dog. She is a confirmed cat killer. Up to date on her shots.
There is a 6 year old spayed female staghound. Very sweet, loves affection. Another cat killer. Up to date on shots.
The third dog is a Great Pyrenees, a spayed female. I’ll need to double check her age. She’s a little aloof from men, but after Bull bought a package of hot dogs for these dogs, she’s now his new best friend! Lol
I don’t think she ever been with any stock, and kills cats.
The last dog is a 1 1/2 year old Patterdale. He’s not been worked with at all, but I got him somewhat leash broke in one session. He’s extremely intelligent, and I think he could become a great little dog. He loves attention and could be easily trained with some affection ( and treats! He would fly to the moon for a treat! Lol) He is intact. He is registered, but I’m still looking for his papers.
If I do not personally know you, you will have to know some of my friends that will vouch for you. You will be required to give him your vet information. I will call your vet and ensure that your animals are well cared for.
If you are not willing to do that, then do not contact me about these dogs. They will only go to good homes. I am working with some breed rescues, but it’s a slower process than I thought it would be.
I’ll get some good pictures of them. The ones I took are blurs because the dogs are so happy when I enter their kennels.
I need homes for these four. Please help me with finding good homes for them.
Thank you!

We were lucky enough to spend time with our 19 year old grandson from Utah recently. He shares my love of pizza-so in taking lunch break from a welding lesson, I called LaRocca’s to order a pizza, which four of us were planning to eat there. We wanted it to be ready when we got there, so we wouldn’t have to wait long and could get back to the shop.
They wouldn’t do it! I offered to pay over the phone. Nope!
I then asked if they took orders for carry out, which they said they’d do. I then mentioned that when we arrived we might “change our minds”, and decide to eat it there
They told us we would not be allowed to do that! If we ordered a carry out, we had to leave the premises with it.
I told them I would just spend my money with a pizza place that wanted our business. I’m still totally ticked off about it, and decided to share my experience on Facebook.
We went to Gambinos in Auburn and had much better pizza with people who were happy to have us.
I’d urge all other pizza lovers to go where your business is appreciated.

Yesterday I had a wonderful new experience! For the last 30 years, Lawrence, Kansas has held an Old Fashioned Christmas Parade on the 1st Saturday in December. It is all horses.
Wagons, carriages, Chuck wagons, and other horse implements. There are also saddle clubs, horse social groups and trail riding groups. It’s a wonderful parade.
This year I was honored to be one of the announcers! Jim King and I teamed up to announce at 8th and Massachusetts. What a blast! It was great to have the best “seat in the house”!

Well, he’s made it another year! Gabrielle Reyes, Latigos wife, made Bull a birthday cake and brought it to the shop today. Latigo bought lunch for both Bull and I. We are blessed to have such good friends.
Bull did spend his birthday working, but he loves designing and building bits, so he had a great day.
Tonight we go To North Star steakhouse with Bulls daughter Jenny. A very Food oriented day! Lol
He actually does have his own page now, so you can wish him happy birthday on it. Or on mine…❤️❤️❤️

I am taking stall reservations and cattle reservations for the Hope in the Heartland
Show, September 28th-Oct 2nd, at the Kansas Expocentre.
Please don’t leave your info on Facebook. Rather email at: [email protected].
Or call 785 241-4075. I work in an all metal building, so leave a message and I’ll return your call.
If you put it on Facebook, it’ll get lost, I’m afraid.
Hope to see you all there!
