Julianne Grace Brownson
Originally from Canada, Julie moved to Virginia after graduating from Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo, ON, Canada) with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology/Physical Education and minor in Biology. She located to Middleburg and immediately started working as an assistant trainer in a professional Foxhunting and Carriage driving stable. Having grown-up riding dressage and eventing, thought this new experience would be fun to try out for a year. Unfortunately for her family and friends, she fell in love with Middleburg, and a local boy. At the end of the first year living in Middleburg, she accepted a job as Head Trainer and Manager of a private barn in Middleburg. Julie stayed at this position for almost 5 years where she took up Eventing again then fell back into the Dressage ring as well. She also exercised at the race track early mornings, foxhunted and taught the owner’s daughters in the hunters and eventing. She was married that first year and in those wonderful 5 years, evented successfully through Preliminary, and earned her USDF Bronze medal.
